Best Places for Pony Shirts?

Postby Sonarch » 15 Aug 2012 00:22

I have a friend who wants to get a pony shirt, and he's not really sure where to go. I directed him to WeLoveFine, but he's not sure if he likes any of the designs (specifically, rainbow dash). He's looked at sites like RedBubble and some of those spreadshirt shops, but he wants it to be a high quality, and all the reviews on RedBubble aren't that helpful. Does anyone here have any suggestions or experiences with pony shirts that aren't from WeLoveFine?

Thanks in advance :D

Hot Topic has a somewhat diminutive selection of pony shirts, but they are all very well made.

If you can't find anything you like from a store, why not find a design you want on a shirt and try somthing like Cafe Press?

I'm currently wearing a red bubble shirt and it's not awful. Given it is new so I don't know how it handles going through the wash a thousand times. Cafe press, if it's anything like other create your own stuff sites, may flag your design for copyrighted material. Zazzle didn't even let me create a "private" sticker that had rainbow dash on it. (ended up getting the sticker I wanted from redbubble.)

In my experience redbubble is decent enough, and the quantity of designs floors welovefine. Welovefine also has mostly fan drawn/stylized art which I really don't like. Their quality is likely better though, but I haven't bought a shirt from there. Maybe your friend could get the rainbow dash hat from welovefine. I love mine.

zazzle.com and make your own, but it may get a little pricy.

I personally prefer either Hot Topic or Redbubble.com

Ah, yeah didn't think of that.

In any case, the only place I've bought pony stuff from is Hot Topic, mostly because it's cheaper than WeLoveFine. While the shirts are still a little pricey (avg. $25 a shirt), the quality's definitely up there.

Plus shipping! I forget how much it is though. If I recall correctly it's a little steep. I've only ever bought hats from them so mayhaps it's different for shirts?

Huh. So they are. I seem to recall them being in the $30-$35 range. Just me being senile again, I suppose.

They are and there is normally an expensive shipping and handling ($8?). I did pick up a shirt for $25 and about only $25. Basically i was browsing on there and had my browser up and one of the shirts i was looking at popped up with a 25% off for next 8 hrs which is guess is some logic they have programmed into the website (to offer a sale price if you keep coming back and looking at the same shirt). It didn't happen with any of the other shirts i was looking at so i can't promise that will happen with you. I also did add a 10% off coupon code i found on another site. So altogether about $25 with the shipping and handling all erased. They did throw in a GIANT rainbow dash bag with it which i wasn't expecting so that was a bonus. Honestly if you can't find a good design at WLF I don't know how that would happen (most are made by non-Hasbro brony artists but are licensed) as they have some beautiful designs. Mine shrunk a bit (made the mistake of getting a medium so its a bit snug) so keep that in mind.
