Collaboration Request: Vocalists [CLOSED]

So, I made a WIP instrumental track, and I'd really, really, desperately, like to lay some vocals over this song. The title of the song is "Tequila Mockingbird", and can be interpreted as whatever you feel like (because yes, if you are a vocalist I would expect you to write the lyrics, too. I'm a terrible pony). I don't actually expect for this song to directly reference ponies, so if you're thinking of pony, please don't make it obvious.

I was going for some very soft vocals, but preferably male. Think of that one gotye song. Yeah, that kind of singing style. Maybe a bit harsher, but not much. I'm not going after the screamo metal "WUUUUUUUUUUUU" sound.

Don't be afraid to make the lyrics obscure. It's a very obscure sounding song.

The instrumental WIP is right here> http://soundcloud.com/seanjames/crash-d ... ockingbird

If you feel like taking me up on this offer, PM me, or Email me: [email protected]

If you have any questions or additional comments please leave it here in this thread.

Cheers!

I could probably do this for you! You can hear a lot of my voice in my Blacksoul Seraphim and Pandora's Toybox stuff. I've become quite a fan of Gotye's work, and I'd love to try emulating his soft style vocals.

I'll send you an email presently.

I suppose my only question would be this: whomever is chosen for vocals and lyrical writing, would we be able to change the title of the song, or would you prefer to keep it the same, regardless of the lyrics themselves?

Well, this will be kind of like the main focus of the album, and the album's name is "Tequila Mockingbird". I suppose you could give me the lyrics, and I could rename it accordingly. Or it could be one of those songs with two names. Either way, I just listened to your stuff and was impressed. So yeh, at this point, I trust you have a better idea of how to go about doing this than me.
