As for this, not bad! There seems to be very little continuity with the piece. Which is odd for a 1 minute-ish piece. There seems to be a bunch of ideas that could make up a good 5 minute piece squashed into 1 minute-ish. So there's my main thought. Use the ideas more effectively.

The movement of parts in the string quartet was good mind you. It actually felt like a string quartet!

Ending material was a little weird though. It felt like it was meant to have resolved, but actually didn't. More like a confused teenage resolution, unsure of its tonality. Those little high spits in the violins at the end were the main thing I think...didn't really fit.

Besides all that, pretty nice!

An important detail worth mentioning for this, this is a strictly twelve tone piece, so that explains the "unsure tonality." The tone row I designed for this is supposed to be very tonal. If you broke the row up into 3 note chords, all of them would either be triads, suspended chords, or seventh chords lacking a fifth or a third. I'll keep in mind to elaborate on my ideas more in order to improve structure and the flow thereof.

It was only the ending that threw me off tonality-wise. I figured it was twelve-tone, but the problem is you've made it in such a way that it feels like there should be a cadence or something at the end of the piece to show finality. I don't know what you did, but the ending chords feel like they're leading somewhere, instead of being their own thing.

I hope that makes sense!
