'80s Pony Album

I mentioned this to some friends from here and they showed some interest.

The basic idea is just an album of 80s style music about ponies by people in the community, and the fact that this hasn't been done before, I think.

The 'rules' we came up with are as follows:
- Must sound somewhat '80s
- Must be related to MLP (canon/fanon/community) in some way
- Covers/alterations of existing 80's songs are allowed (someone wanted to re-write 'What is Love')
- Remixes of any pony songs, canon or community made, are totally allowed. I don't think we've seen an 80s Nightmare Night yet.
- Doesn't have to be lyrical, many 80s songs weren't (Mr X. by Ultravox is one)

However, there was some pessimism about how much exposure this album will get. I am not basing this idea around getting known. Getting people to like your music is merely a side effect in my opinion. Anyways, because we already have many albums going, I can see this getting buried rather quickly.

If there is interest though. I would need help doing this, for I have no idea how to plan this at all.

I try to be as multi-genre and diverse as I can, but this 80's synthy stuff takes a majority of the spectrum. I even tried making a non-pony side project, and it's STILL not helping!



With that in mind, I'd be down for something like this, given that others would be willing to jump in.

I changed my mind. I might do a parody of Iron Maiden instead. Something from Number of the Beast (which was released in 1982, not the late 70s).
