Just submitted my collab entry with http://www.youtube.com/user/MsIkarishipper, it took sooooo long to mix and master it to sound just right... now I'm really nervous. :O I'm extremely proud of the song, but still anxious to find out if it'll be on the album or not.

I know that these seem to keep coming, so we could just change the topic of it when the next rolls around. I think I'll begin one right now and hope that people don't mind. If they do, then my chat can crumble, and I won't be able to say I didn't try! I know that there are a few charity albums, but the ones that are started by InC seem to be the "main" ones (not to discredit the others).

I suspect the instruments are overpowering each other in the verses

Instead of doing an EDM track, I'm experimenting with something orchestral for this album. Here's a WIP. I don't have a name yet, so suggestions would be VERY helpful.

They do seem to be clashing a little. A quick tip for making the mix cleaner is to lower the volume of an instrument bus, then boost the frequencies that matter with an EQ, then do the same for each other channel. Also roll off the lower frequencies of the instruments that don't need it so there isn't too much bass conflict.
