Any good Guitar and Piano VSTs?

Post Midis, project files, samples, stems, here. Also great place to request collaboration or specific files/sounds.

But seriously. If you need a djent or progressive metal guitarist, collab with me. I can play pretty good. I'm especially good with odd rhythms. Example: I can play djent breakdowns in 13/8.

Sadly, I can't find a drummer or good metal drum samples, so I can't record a full song. If someone can provide drums, I can provide guitar.

You alright if I supply your tracks with some programmed drums? I got the Metal Machine EZX add-on for EZ Drummer and I'm saving up for an e-drum kit.

You need to plug it through an amp sim, but it's fantastic! Guitar Rig 5 is great for it.

This one is my favorite for metal. The palm mutes and "hard attack" samples are really slick for metal and djent stuff. I actually sometimes layer it with a real guitar. Best of all, it's cheap. $60 last time I checked.

Kyoga, you and I both know you always want the guitar at the proper ear-rape volume level. O_O

What kind of drum pattern/feel are you going for? I could also give a go at creating some patterns for you to use. Just let me know what tempo and stuff you want. I've got a handful of metal drum libraries. Metal Machine, Metalheads and Metal Foundry to be exact.

Amp sims work best with clean, unprocessed, DI-recorded samples, at least in my opinion (YMMV). For my own purposes, I use clean samples out of MusicLab RealStrat (VST/AU with up to 2GB of Stratocaster samples from different strum/pluck and pickup positions) or RealLPC (same thing, only sampled from a Les Paul Custom) run through NI Guitar Rig 5. Does the trick perfectly. If I need some more realistic sounding microphone placement simulation, I use Softube Vintage Amp Room (GR5's mic faking feature doesn't sound as good to me as I'd like it to).

As for pianos, Logic's built-in acoustic piano samples work well combined with PianoWave Steinway B for NI Kontakt 5, as well as the Korg M1 plugin and Luxonix Purity for more '90s house-y stuff.
I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up...

I know DSK has some guitar VSTs, but I'm beginning to take a dislike to DSK stuff. Might be worth checking out anyway.
I hear some people like using FM8 to synthesize piano, but I've got no experince with FM8.
Mebbe when I get home tonight I can find some piano VSTs i have bookmarkes, too much trouble right now.

What do you mean what tempo? Every song has a different tempo, a band just doesn't have a tempo assigned to it that they always use.

Software: I'm original, so i use Sunvox. I used to use LMMS, but the crashing drove me insane.

Yeah, basically this. They have songs with tempos in the low hundreds and some over two hundred.
