I'm baffled, I really am.

Ok, so most of you who do know me here realize that my main medium of exposure is youtube. I promote my channel as much as possible, with other websites such as soundcloud and eqbeats playing a tiny support role.

Recently I have finished one of my songs which I obviously uploaded to all the 3 websites. As usual, I focused on the youtube one, having the download link available only there. Well, it never did the trick, I guess, but hey - can't blame me for trying, right?

2 days after the release I decided to check soundcloud as a new person (19th ) started following me. When I checked the view counter of the mentioned song, I was shocked. 900, with now the number being over 1,3k.

I am really confused how could this have happened. I even decided to google for my song for a while, but I only managed to find an embed to my little work in progress I posted a few days before the release.

TL; DR: My question is: Does anyone know where was my soundcloud song (I Wasn't Prepared for This remix) featured? There's no other explanation as of how I am getting such a wave of listens to a hosting website I don't really use. I'm just really curious.

I don't know what to make of that, but it's possible it got featured somewhere like EqD. Other than that, I have no idea what could have caused such a thing.

No, it definitely wasn't featured on EqD, as I had a few of my subscribers send it to them and it was rejected. But just to make sure, I wandered around the media section just to be 100% certain - it wasn't there.

Are you sure it wasn't Matthew M(oiser)? In any case, I honestly don't think I ended up on Everfree radio - or any radio, quite frankly. I doubt I've got to such a level, especially after seeing the last 100 tracks played on their radio (Alex S., WoodenToaster, TLT...)

Well then, now it leaves me even more shocked than before. How the heck did I get there? Who did this? I want to hug him or her. : )
