Mixcraft has pretty much everything a full-featured DAW has (at least from what I've seen and read), so yes. From the little I used the demo, it works like a normal DAW and has a nice, clean interface.
I make music because I'm not mediocre at everything yet.

Dude you're underrating mixcraft lol. It's like between garageband and FL studio (above garageband, underneath FL) and it's windows lol.

FL Studio 8-10, exclusively. I've dabbled with Ableton Live but I didn't find it as intuitive or easy to use as FL Studio. I also use Audacity 2.0 for miscellaneous things.

Underrating mixcraft? What? What did I say? Huh? :?:

So it's audio and sequencing? Cool. I looked at the site and it looks great for the price.

FL Studio 10. It's generally geared more towards electronic dance music than other kinds of music, and it's not very ideal if you're recording acoustic music, but since I usually do electronic dance music anyway (and I've been used to it for a good three years now), it's pretty perfect for me.

Using Reaper. You are SOOO not the only one who uses Reaper :)

...nvm I implied it differently.

Yea, the sequencing is all g for me, if you're talking about audio loops, then I think there's enough lol (like 6000 or something). But yea, it works great in that price range. It's also really easy to use vsts in it.

I use Logic Pro, but I'm interested in Reaper. I haven't figured out its interface yet, but it seems pretty similar to Sony Acid. I loved Acid before switching to Logic; it's a great "babby's first DAW." I wish I understood FL.

Ableton<3

I tried FL for about a week when I started the whole music thing, but I was consistently irritated at how touchy it was. I wasn't a fan of the interface either.

I gave Cubase a try a few weeks ago. I pride myself on lasting 10 minutes in there.

Floops.

And I've been using it since they still called it that. Need to upgrade to 10, though. I feel like every time I upgrade, they release a new version.

I've used FL Studio, Ableton Live, Reaper, and Logic Pro. Of all of those guys, I'd say Logic is the best one that is suited for recording. It has a wonderful "take recording" feature and superb audio/waveform editing.
