You have nearly 100 subscribers, considering the demographic of fans you're appealing to that's pretty fantastic. If you want more subscribers, keep honing your skills to become better and make more music.

What you're doing here is begging for attention. Popularity is not something that you can force. Do what you do because you love it. If you're not making music because you love it, don't expect people to love your music. If you love making music and you just want more validation for what you're doing with your time, keep making more music. It just takes time.

I've been making and publishing music for half a decade and only now do I have an ounce of recognition. The difference is I don't mind! I make music because I love making it, not because I want to be omg famous.

Maybe the fact that you didn't get attention should motivate you to improve your production skills and learn about music rather than go begging for attention.

Oh, I dunno, maybe the fact that you're called royalpony5300 has something to do with it.

Well, to start off, your name is hard to remember, as Spry mentioned.

Secondly, your music has a very simplistic sound to it, and doesn't feature many elements that people would remember, such as a really catchy melody (Ex. Rainbow Factory).

Third, your music doesn't sound like it's mixed very well, leaving it sounding like a wall of simple analogue synth sounds.

Long story short, both your music and choice of name don't have anything that stands out above the others, so let's take a look at the popular guys, and what they have:

- Wooden Toasted/Glaze: Insanely catchy melodies that everybody wants to remix.
- Living Tombstone: Awesome bass synths and heavy percussion. You can pretty much tell it's Tombstone just by the sound of the snare.
- Eurobeat Brony: Amazing voice, and one of the few that excel in the Eurobeat genre.
- Alex S: Fantastic DJ and producer. He knows the club scene well.
- Omnipony: Another great producer. Uses Massive performers primarily for his drops.
- Makkon: The best at epic orchestral pieces, hands down.
- Dr. Dissonance: The best at classical/steampunk pieces.
- MicTheMicrophone: Probably the best rapper in the fandom.

You can't ask for popularity. You need to establish yourself as your own musician. If you make music for the sake of trying to sound like others to get popular, then your music's going to suck. I know it because I'm tried delving into the popular genres before, and those were by far my worst tracks. Many of them abandoned and unfinished.

If you're going into this trying to gain popularity, you're going to end up blending in with a plethora of other musicians who are doing the same.

Most of the musicians above started off very early in the fandom, and they've honed and perfected their own sound. If you want to gain popularity, you need to make music out of your own love for making music. Only then will you develop your own sound and slowly work your way up the ladder.

I'm not popular myself but your name isn't exactly memorable. Pick something shorter and go to dafont.com to get fonts for a logo.

Get a bandcamp where people can download your stuff.

Make more memorable songs.

But overall, NEVER make a thread asking for attention. Your music should speak for itself, and if it doesn't, then you won't ever get popular.

if you ask for popularity people are less likely to listen to you or appreciate your work. and your name is so unmemorable i can't even remember it for a few minutes :/

Wow you look so interested in taking a part of the community and helping out your fellow musician, I am so inclined to help support you because you seem so interested in helping support me too and this totally isn't a "WHY DON'T I HAVE MORE ATTENTION YOU GUYS GET IT FOR ME" thread

Sorry but so true, not to mention that these type of threads (and mlp is starting to get these more frequently) make anyone look desperate for attention and frankly a bit selfish. If everyone did one of these threads the board would submerge in a bunch of self-centered spam. Next time talk to a fellow brony friend of yours before you do something like this. If you don't have any yet then spend year 2 at least making some friends or acquaintances in the community because you need to have somebody to lean on...listen to what's around you, strive to be a great musician, and be PART of the community by entering in toast beards or listening to others and learning from them.

I've been at it for a year as well. I have 35 subs. I don't complain about it at all. If anything, I BRAG about having 35 subs.

Have I considered quitting music? Yeah sure, every day. Do I actually do it? No, because it's still something I love to do, and even though I suck terribly now, I know for a fact that I'll get better with time and that number will grow eventually. I've been rejected from EqD twice (going on 3 now with my latest submission), but I do nothing but joke about it.

In the end, I don't care about being popular because I simply love to make music, and I've made some of the greatest friends of my life through music. Yeah, sure, I do wish that number was bigger (who doesn't, really?), and seriously, your numbers aren't bad at all. Need I remind you of your 123 soundcloud followers (a number in which I am included :3).

You also need to realize how freaking good you are at what you do. You are one of my favorite hardstyle producers (among other things, of course) and I've listened to all of your songs at least thrice (the ones on soundcloud at least). Be proud of your skill with music, not some number on a webpage.

I don't think much more can be said here. Makkon pretty much nailed it in the first post, and everyone has made good recommendations if you're really striving to be something original, to stand out from the crowd you need to put the effort in and make yourself heard.

That said, even if that's your goal, you should always make music for yourself, not for notoriety. And don't ask for popularity, it doesn't work like that. Enjoy the learning experience of making music with us, and if more people like your music, then you know you're doing something right. Until then, drop the whole 'I wanna be famous' thing and just have fun!
