Tenacious Day Aria (WIP, singers wanter)

Hey everypony,

As soon as the Royal Wedding came out, I wanted to make a metal version of it. Galiant106 beat me too it, but of course, you can never have too much pony metal.

To cahange things up, I decided to mix this song with Beelzeboss by Tenacious D; no clue how I got that idea, but it works.

Here are the lyrics:
(TS = Twilight, AJ = Applejack, RD = Rainbow Dash, Fs = Fluttershy, Rty = Rarity, PP = Pinkie Pie)


TS: There's just no way that we can win

I made the scratch track for the guitar; I'm totally new to recording music of any kind, so it might not be the best quality. You can download it here.

I'm probably going to be able to get a bass, and trick my pony-hating drummer friend into recording something, but there's still the problem of singers. So does anyone want to help out with this project?

You can take this idea wherever you want tho, feel free to make anything you want based on this idea.

I can sing, but sounding like the ponies may be an issue.

Problem with singing is that I'm a deep bass (sorta like JackleApp's non audio tuned voice), so sounding anything like the ponies would be a major problem.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how we can get around that.. the only really good singing impersonation I can think off the top of my head is Friendship is Witchcraft, and I really doubt they'll have the time to work on this.

I guess since this is a Tenacious D cover, the voices don't have to sound anything like the voices from the show, and there would be an explanation for having more manly, Jack Black-esque vocals for some of the Mane 6. It's worked before in other comedic situations, like Rainbow Dash Presents and the .Mov series (although I'm not sure if that should be used as an example.. for anythying). The problem would be mostly how to differentiate the ponies; an simple animation (like a still image of the pony who is singing) might work. This approach might be a lot funnier, but it would be a lot harder and I'm not sure how the song is going to end up sounding.

Another (better) idea is I could collapse the roles into 2 singers that switch off, like it was in Beelzeboss in the first place. Hearing Jables and Kage (or their brony counterparts) suddenly appear from nowhere singing about being the Elements of Harmony and shooting lasers with their horns would still be pretty awesome, and a whole lot easier to pull off.

Also, thanks LoreRD for offering to help on the drums. It's good to know I have somepony to back me up if the Great Drum Prank blows up in my face. BTW, just wondering, do you have a double bass pedal?

If we could get someone who can animate in on this, we can have a decent video that will differentiate the ponies and look pretty cool.
