"Screaming metal" is quite vague and covers a lot of subgenres. I love melodic death metal and symphonic black metal, but not so much the screamy parts of metalcore, for example.
As for the worst music I've ever heard, I generally stay away from music I dislike, but I also try to listen to as many genres of music as possible, and I will say that any genre done badly is going to be shit.
