MO MUSIC. This is strings and percussion only, and I need better percussion. It's also shorter than it will probably end up being (epic cadenza yay!). I would appreciate some feedback at this stage in the process. This is really my first serious orchestral piece. Am I going in the right direction? Am I missing something? Thanks!

Disclaimer: I don't exactly have a huge repertoire of great music and a ton of experience, but I do want to try and help.

Here are my thoughts:
There seems to be some sort of weird static or artifact at 1:00, but I think you probably know about that. The introduction of the violins and violas at around 0:07 and 0:09 is a bit rough, maybe try having them come in on a stronger beat? I think some motion with the percussion in the chorus would be appropriate, the slow down sounds abrupt and the sections feel a bit too sluggish. At 0:58, the starting point for the pizzicato crescendo is a little too quiet in my opinion. I also feel that the pauses at 1:31 and 1:43 are just a tad too long. I don't believe I heard any bass drum, and I think that would add a lot to this.

Overall, this is great! I think you're going in the right direction and really doing the original song justice.

I think the static is supposed to simulate the part in the original song where Pinkie's parents are singing.

Other than that this pretty much covered everything I was going to say. I liked how everything was building up to the chorus, but it felt strange how the percussion almost stops altogether in the chorus.

This is definitely going in the right direction and I can't wait to hear when it's finished.
I like to think I'm well-rounded because I'm not really good at anything.
