Yeah, this is awesome, but you're right, the mastering needs work. Not bad for a first time, though! The one big problem that needs to be fixed is that the kick is completely destroyed by what seems to be clipping. You might want to um...make sure the kick is preserved. Try turning everything down first and and using a limiter/compressor.

I totally didn't just use a soft clipper instead of a limiter...

Yay. I have 13 days left.

Maybe I'll scrape up some drumstep for this. I'll make sure to use plenty of knife samples, talking basses, and high pitched whoops. I will avoid using modern talking since everyone seems to hate it. Maybe I'll add some glitched vocals as well. If I can do all of that by the 15th...

You better make it the most intense ear-splitting drumstep track in the history of the world.

And make those kicks HARDCORE. I can imagine a drumstep track with a hardcore breakdown. Would that be awesome or what? I kinda did that with the intro to my first song, Fluttershy's dubstep, but that was UK hardcore. I'm talking something like Sinister Souls vs Gein vs Bratkilla - Parasite Bandit. NOW THAT'S SOME FREAKIN HARDCORE MUSIC.

Edit: And USE F*CKING MODERN TALKING! Slap a hardclipper on dat synth and melt everyone's minds! No one will notice it, or even care! ;)

I finished making all of the drums and percussion. I somehow used a house drum loop and it sounds epic. I also made a sick reese bass earlier today. I just need to make the beginning of the song creepy and then drop it so hard it splatters everywhere.

Edit: I changed some things. It's dark drum and bass now (or neurofunk or whatever you call it). It will still have some kind of drop, but closer to a DnB break. It's still hardcore. My epic reese bass should compensate for the lack of brostep. The drums sound like Noisia with a little added LSD. So much fucking ride!!! And I'm keeping the knife samples.

Are we allowed to submit two entries? If we can, then I'd totally submit this: (This is just a small portion of the track of course)

Maybe Enduser or Shitmat level breaks with over the top Otto von Schirach synths. Holy smokes that sounds amazing.

Or maybe skullstep would be a cool idea. Idk, but I'm really exited to see what he comes up with.

Im out of town until tomorrow evening. But I did come up with some ideas.

1. Some breakcore on the 2nd and 4th breaks.

2. Fucking creepy MLP vocal samples with vocoder set to make it sound demonic.

3. Moar sick Reese bass.

4. Talking bass (yoi sound) without using Modern Talking

5. More knife sounds.

6. Happy intro for 16 bars, then abrupt break (to make the break sound harder).

7. High pitched dubstep bass roars and whoops.

8. Pitch bends everywhere.

9. Breaks 1 and 3 are normal drum and bass breaks, breaks 2 and 4 will have some breakcore and 32nd note snares. And glitch. And dubstep stuff.
