midi controllers

does anyone know anything about behringer midi controllers?
i decided that i was going to buy one, because doing everything by computer is a huge pain

and if behringer isn't good, do you have any brands that you recommend that are good for a low income budget?

i'm looking for something that wouldnt be used to perform live (like pads. i think). just to be able to control the various sliders and knobs in FL studio.
any and all help is appreciated.
I make music but i'm not that good.

I got a Korg nanoKontrol2 for $50, which would probably about fit your budget, but I'm kind of disappointed with the quality. Cheap, plastic construction and the knobs and sliders come off really easily. It does its job well enough, though.

For a simple, easy to use MIDI controller with plenty of assignable knobs and sliders, semi-weighted keys, and sturdy construction, look no further than the M-Audio Oxygen49. You can probably find it at your local Guitar Center for $100.

That's pretty close, but I already have a keyboard (it doesn't, however, have the sliders or knobs, which is what I'm really looking for.)
And kopachris ill check that out, thanks.

If you get one, just don't get too rough with it. ;)

I have an AKAI MPK25 with is awesome for me. Only having 2 octaves at a time isn't that bad, although it is a little limiting (plus there are octave up and down buttons). It has really good construction and the keys and super solid. As for some negatives, the drum pad on it is really bad, it feels solid, but I can never seem to get a good response out of it even with the sensitivity settings turned all the way up. Doesn't really matter to me though because I don't have any need for it. Also, the presets that it has don't really seem to make a difference. It doesn't have sliders either :( . They probably could have taken out the pads and put in sliders honestly. I'm really happy with it though, especially with how solid the keys feel. They're not weighted, but they're really nice. IMO

EDIT: It has nice knobs too, 12 in fact.
