blue yeti microphone help

So I just got one of these, and it looks pretty awesome, but whenever I plug it into my computer, all my sounds stop. Nothing seems to be wrong in the volume mixer, it just mutes everything when I plug it in. I've messed around in the control panel but it doesn't seem to be working.

please for the love of god hook up your headphones before you insert your yeti in the mixer track

yeah I just found that the mic had a headphone jack.

I feel like a moron, but it IS my first time messing with Hardware.
