I like that sustained pinky note in the beginning, and how you pan it, it really brings you into the song. The progression and composition of the song is pretty solid, I just think it could use some better mixing. The overall mix could be a little brighter and the bass could use a little boost. At 1:05, the song loses detail and it's hard to distinguish the sounds.

When I switched to my studio monitor headphones, the piano suddenly had more detail and punch, and I didn't even notice the bass introduced at 0:28 until I made the switch. I think this shows that it could be mixed up to ensure that multiple listeners can hear it from different sound systems.

I really enjoyed listening to this otherwise. Keep up the good work.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Best I've got right now is a $15 pair of Sony headphones, so mixing is a bit difficult to say the least. I'm planning on going out and getting a cassette adapter for my car so I can bring my laptop out and mix properly, but until then, advice like that is much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Thank you! I'm actually pretty bad at mixing myself. Managed to acquire a decent new pair of headphones, a pair of speakers, and a cassette adapter for my car (which has pretty good speakers itself) so I'm now able to mix on four different systems which, needless to say, is pretty helpful. I like to think it's made an improvement on this song but I'm sure I missed something .

I do like the changes, I see you made it a little brighter and the bass is much more distinguishable. Mixing is a good skill to practice and I think your getting a good hang of it.
