Windows Movie Maker Help

Postby K3WRO » 02 Jul 2012 08:39

Ok,

I was planning to upload a new song to youtube, but, for some reason, windows movie maker won't play audio, Mp3, wav, aiff, etc.

I imported a 7 minute song, but It doesnt play, all the other files play except the one I imported.

Please Help, it's been forever

I'd say to just get Sony Vegas.
It's not free, but it's probably the easiest program to get for free...
the rules won't allow me to post certain things, but you can just search it on youtube and it shouldn't take long to do so.

Solution: don't use movie maker ^^

Seriously though, in WLMM, check your Project tab to make sure you haven't set the volume mixer to the wrong side.
Are you running a 2011 version of movie maker - because those have problems with imported music?
It should be fixed in later versions.

You have to put it to a picture or something. This has happened to me before actually.
If you have the audio and nothing else it won't play, but if you have a picture going the whole length of the audio it will work.

There are some good free video editing suites out there, which are a lot more capable and easy to use than Movie Maker. I personally use VideoPad Video Editor, which is fine for exporting music for Youtube. It even works OK for more complex videos.

If you link your google account to EQbeats, you can upload your songs to YouTube directly from EQbeats. It works well, I've been soon it for a lot of my videos now ^_^
