Sup guize. were to downlaod Galaksee Stineway????????!?!?!?

Imagine. Nah but what's up everyone. I usually am more into things like video games, chess, logic problems, etc, but I recently decided to start making some horribly mastered cool music to show my love for brightly colored ponies! It's a really fun new world with tons of cider and I love it.

Edit: Been a brony since some time in August 2011, but never really started learning about producing music until recently.

How did I miss this thread? A place to introduce myself is usually the first thing I look for... Oh, well!

I'm Kopachris--a hotel front desk agent by day and amateur musician by night. I've studied quite a bit of classical music theory, but I'm still quite new to modern popular music, and I don't have much to show just yet. So far, my strengths seem to be in the area of atmospheric and ambient music.

Heya there, name is Contempt. I'm a college student right now who has taken up making music and noise as a hobby. I'm more on the electro/dub side, but I also enjoy orchestrations as well. I've always enjoyed music but never stuck to an instrument, but then I started messing around last fall and now I produce in my off time.

Hi there people, username's 3Earl but you can just call me Alan.

which isn't my real name but my actual name's lame so
I'm a brony trying to learn how to make music, and so far, I've had some successes and failures, so I decided I wanted some feedback, criticism, and just a place to hang out with other people that have the same ambition

I think I use garage band subconsciously, but I'm primarily a beginner in FL Studio

so nice to meet you all and junk! Hope we get along.

Howdy all. I'm Minley.

I'm a (recent)brony who has been into music for a long while,
I am(tryingtobe) a brony rapper, and just starting out in the musical world. I have fiddled about in FLStudio for a couple of years now, and have not taken music seriously, or improved much, until recently.

Now I am looking about to get pointers on how to further my music so I can create perfect music that I would like to listen to.

Cause you know, its all about me and stuff.

Haha, just kidding. :)

I've been browsing this forum for a couple of weeks and have really enjoyed reading here,
I thank you all for being so friendly, and helpful, even though I've never made contact with most of you.
I hope to meet and talk music with many'a'pony.

Hopefully you'll have a great time here. Make sure to talk to one of us (all of us) if you need any help with things like Mixing, mastering, music theory, whatevs. We're all happy to help you out anytime.

If you're having a problem with music theory, feel free to talk to me. Mastering or mixing I am not a god at. :3
I look forward to seeing some of the great stuff you produce.

Thanks Kyoga, Nice to make such a friendly acquaintance.

I might actually hit you up on that, I've been thinking a lot on music theory, and any input you have would be great. I'm planning on taking a course at one of my local community colleges, soon enough. -- But it would be great to have other peoples takes on it before I do.

As far as my level, and help that I'll need; yeah, I think I'll need all the help I can get. I'm basically pretty noobie with everything.
I'll post up a piece and ask for critique, it might be a good start.

Um, hi. I'm Kagetori.
I made this tread recently- viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3763
as you can see, I like to make music, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

I love Touhou, and that's what got me into music. I wanted to make my own game with music that's really good too, and I'm currently still working on the soundtrack to a series which doesn't exist which is called "Project Aidios". I'm also into writing and various arts, the game series has a huge plot planned out. Anyways, aside from that, I know NOTHING about music. I don't know what the keys are named or the chords are called, but I understand how it works and how it can sound good. Anyways, please click the link above to see (or, hear I should say) what I've made... I mean, if you don't mind or anything. Umm, thanks.

OH, AND MY FAVORITE PONY IS RAINBOW DASH!

Hi, I'm Sinyk.
... I've kind of been debating on whether or not to make an account here for almost two weeks now, because I'm kind of shy and so I wasn't sure whether or not I'd be able to build up the courage to post anything here.

But today I decided to try and make an account here, and well... Here I am. :3

I just recently got into making electronic music, or music in general. I used to live in Germany, because my dad is in the military, but moved back to America in late January, and I started looking into music production soon after that.
I don't think I'm that good yet, but I'm always looking to improve, and hope that being here will be a good start.
I listen to, and enjoy, almost every genre of music, except country and pop. :3
Oh, and my three favorite ponies are Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity.

Hello! Morte McAdaver here. I compose and perform music for Pandora's Toybox, Sorrowseed, and Blacksoul Seraphim, plus numerous piano compositions and other small projects here and there.

As another soul swept up by the greatness of MLP:FiM, I've been wanting to get involved with fellow brony musicians and the community for a while. However, I'm pretty reclusive and shy, especially about my own work (I usually need others to be excited on my behalf, otherwise I tend to feel like an egotistical jerk). However, I am pushing myself to say hello to the community and offer whatever pony and non-pony related compositions I can! My subject and mood are often on the "grimdark" or otherwise very melancholy and dreary side, but I feel that I can at least offer some tunes here and there.

It is a relief to see that I'm not the only shy one here. So, hello to you all! I invite you to browse my Soundcloud (and wherever else you can come across my tunes) while I keep whipping up some pony-pertinent melodies and lyrics, or just re-labeling/re-structuring old songs to conform to the Herd.

Cheers!

Postby icedog25 » 02 Jul 2012 06:12

Heya, I'm Icedog. I like making pony remixes. Well, I like to try, at least. I've only really finished and uploaded one pony remix... well, it was a remix of a remix. eh, whatever.

I decided to join the forum because I want to get to know more pony musicians, and because I could use the help and guidance of all you smart people/ponies.

I use FL Studio for my music-y stuff. I've been interested in music for a long time. I've used lots of silly programs, like Mario paint composer and cakewalk home studio. Though, I didn't really seriously dive into music making until I got FL Studio. I've been using FL Studio for about 1 year now, but I still have a lot to learn.

I overuse the shit out of 3xOsc and Fruity Parametric EQ 2.

I like to think that I'm good at writing chord structures, melodies, and all that jazz. My biggest issue is getting the technical parts right. My synths often sound flat and/or uninteresting. I want my stuff to be more energetic and fun, but I don't really know how to do that without sounding cheesy, annoying, or just plain icky. I think the first place to start would be to get some new effects, but I haven't got a clue where to start looking.

My avatar is a stick figure I drew in about 30 seconds. Just a placeholder until I get a more ponypony avatar figured out. I also want to figure out a better name to go by in the pony world, because icedog just seems kinda... unfitting to me.

Believe it or not, I have non-pony interests too. Most of the time, If I'm not working on music or watching videos, I'm playing Team Fortress 2. I've played over 2,000 hours of TF2. And, more recently, I've been getting involved in competitive TF2, which has been all sorts of fun.

I like writing, talking, and language in general. That's why I've basically written a novel about my life here. I don't have the patience to write a fan-fiction or anything, though.

I'll hopefully get to know some of you a bit better soon, assuming I ever do post.
