Soundscapes Compliation?

I don't think there has been a Brony Album dedicated to Soundscapes/Ambient...

Has there?

If not I was thinking that would be a neat Idea...

I'd give it an attempt, Ambient stuff is a little out of my league, but I haven't decated much time into it either. It'd be a good expirience since I'm gonna need soundscapes for animation in the future.

Does ambient include IDM (like Boards of Canada) in this case? Because if it does, I'd be down for something like this.
Youtube -- Soundcloud -- Tumblr -- Bandcamp (new album out!)

If you do you should also include chill IMO to make it a bit more open.

Better idea: Make the opposite of Balloon Party.

Just calm music of any genre. Make it smooth and calm. This could include ambient, chillstep, jazz, classical, classic rock, or anything else that is calm and relaxing.

Not that I will be organizing this. I wouldn't be able to manage all of you. I'm just putting this out as a suggestion.

I would also try and create something chill for this, or generally ambient. Now, someone step up and make this happen.

I'm kind of opposed to the idea of involving money at all, to be honest.

Well, either you can have "fixed slots" i.e. first come first serve and you'll get in no matter the quality of your track.
Or you could arrange some kind of panel with independent judges, then anyone could submit, but only tracks deemed worthy would be on the album. Ultimately it's up to the arranger. Though at first, having open slots may be easier in case you only get about 15 people writing songs for the album.

If it were me, I would arrange it like this: the album is free (or with donation). Tracks would be submitted and the judged for coolness. I mean, what if we get some awesome late guys who can't make it in? Basically the same concept as BP, except with chill. I'd totally be down for this, and if you guys need any help organizing give me a call.

I like that idea, 'Chill BP' sounds like an ideal product to me. The Judging should be done, too. 15-20 Tracks i believe should make it up...
