You're right, the sound quality is bad. But, other than that, this is some excellent music.

Now for the few things that I didn't love about this song.

The mix sounded WAY to thin most of the time. Almost as if the master track, and all the instruments' stereo seperation were completely merged (okay that's a bit of an exageration, but you get my point(I hope).).

Almost the entire song, I wanted to have the piano put higher in the mix, and hear it filled out a bit more. Deeper pitch notes, higher volume, and a little more reverb on that would really help. I realize that the piano really wasn't intended to be the focus of the song, and this advice is really more stylistic than anything, but I really think that putting the piano, or at least its melody played on a synth, more into the forefront of the listeners attention would make for a better song, to my ears, at least. God-DAMN THAT WAS A BAD RUN ON SENTENCE!!!

Anyway, the intro bass was awesome-sause, the synth progressions and arp sounds were really well made, and the attention to detail was impressive. Good choice of drum samples, too.

If there is anything else that I haven't mentioned, but you want someone's opinion on it, feel free to tell me what it is, and I'll do my best to critique it

Thanks for those really kind words!

Definitely not all channels are panned to the center, and I do hope you can hear that. ;) However, you are right - right now it's kinda basic.

As for the piano: you are totally right - it's not the main focus of this track. I used heavy bandpassing and reduced lower frequencies to keep it in the background. When the main part kicks in, that's why I introduced a secondary synth that compliments it for a while (then I faded it away as it was no longer the "main...er?" focus.) Another note on why the piano is so quiet is the fact that it kinda fills the empty spots throughout the entire track. I surely will change the pattern in some parts, that's pretty much for granted.

I will work on that pattern that kicks in after the main part is completely over. So far it's only got some panning done.

On a side note, I am experiencing a bit of clicking in some of the hat effects I've made, and I really have no clue why. Probably just one of those hiccups FL likes to have for no apparent reason.

EDIT: Added more stereo separation to some of the VSTs. Mix sounds definitely fuller now. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

Nah, PMing won't be necessary. Just updated the initial post. Even with the soundcloud quality the difference can be easily noticed.

Also, I keep asking myself if that background piano pattern during the break @ 5:10 should be there or not. It sounds both good and odd at the same time. Let me know what you think.

First; I personally think that the piano at that point in the song should DEFINATELY be there. I think that section is well composed and it adds a lot to the song.

Second; the mixing is WAY better. What was the least appealing aspect of the song is now my favorite. All the synths are more spread out, but the piano isn't, which I think makes it sound that much better. Adds a little depth to the song.

All around, I'm pretty impressed at how good you've made this sound. Great job, man!

Sweet, can't wait!

Say, you wouldn't have enough time to possibly do a collaboration with me, would you?

I've listened to some of your music, and I really like your style; I can still hardly keep up with the ideas your music has inspired me with!

So, wadaya say?

Once I am done with my current projects (I have just finished my The Lesser Knowns submission, working on the VIP mix of self's Becoming Popular, dark ambient track I tried for fun but so far it's pretty ok, collab with Legion and LFP) I'll definitely be up for a collab.

*note: the above are outdated, but I guess you have already gave them all a listen anyway.
