I believe he's still wrestling with his music computer's virus. I'd say just start recording some random melody and riff ideas. We have to start somewhere.

Also, we need to turn the Skype chat back into one focused on the project. Meaning kicking everyone who's not directly involved and adding anyone who hasn't been added yet.

I guess I'll start by finishing all of my other hanging music projects and collabs. I even signed myself up for a Brony Rapping Tournament. I have never rapped before. I'm so fucked.

I really can't be bothered to read 40 pages of this, but I have a riff for a song I started a few months back. It's tech death (not really tech) inspired by Obscura and Spawn of Possession when I was on a kick with their music.

I can tell it's for a 7 string; it's in Bb. Since I have an 8 string, I no longer need to tune that low on my 6 string.

DERP. It's not a 7 string. It's a 6 string. I have no clue what I was thinking. I wrote it some time ago... The root note is Bb. It's written for 6 string in 440 standard. Sorry

Wat? I have my 7 string tuned down one half step (Bb tuning). Are you in drop Bb/A# on the six string? Bb tuning on a six string only makes sense if you are in a drop tuning. Unless you have a set of .13's or .14's

Turns out I got the key sig wrong and it should be A#m (seriously, who the fuck does that?), but if you transpose it it really won't matter.

I'll be fine. As long as I have tabs, I can fix any small mistakes. I might screw up the first few takes and I'm busy with other projects, so this might not get recorded for a few days/weeks depending on how long they take.
