So, I will try and make things during any free time I get, but likely I'm out till 2013.

It was fun while it lasted. Love you all!

Yeah i saw this on your tumblr (and posted it on the directory). Just terrible news but understandable and likely the right choice. Sorry to hear though.

Would've been one thing, but now it's two:
1. Matthew Mosier is hiatusing (to use a light term as I am wont to do), and I love that guy too much to accept that.
2. I have taken on way too many projects at one time, and am now spending my morning, running on zero hours of sleep, fake-freaking out about it

if your being annoying to someone, they will probably give you hints so look for them. lack of response to questions, interrupting you ect. just keep being yourself though. I had a dozen people in HS that I hung with because we all skateboarded. but it took me a long time to realize that none of them were people I could go to if I had a problem.

Agree with this. High School is a time where you're really just trying to discover who you are but also when you really deal with the worst from your peers. It just seems that pettiness and cruelty just bubbles up during this age. While I'm sure there's some people who seriously think those were the best times in your life for the most part I have to think there's a LOT to be desired. You may easily find yourself in a group of people that may occupy your time but won't necessarily be there for you when you have a problem. You may even fall out with them at times. So don't settle if you don't have to. All I can say is college is much better so weather the storm.

High school is a cesspit of stupidity, sure, but you kinda gotta deal with that by finding people who aren't dicks and hanging out with them. Then again, maybe its just cause the stupids in our school are usually well meaning, and aren't dicks. You gotta manage your encounters with people, so I've made a chart of people who will fuck you over:

Dicks: these are people whose goal in life seems to be fucking with people, an example could be this guy I knew who asked me everyday to sell him my phone, and when I finally snapped and asked him for how much, he lowballed me, so I just told him to fuck off.

Douchebags: rambunctious, loud, annoying, just general nuisances. Although they won't neccarily try to screw you over, they get to be a problem too. Unlike assholes, for douchebags this is never an endearing aspect. Massively self centered, incredibly ignorant. Basically, like everyone on Jersey Shore, complete with a lack of humility.

Stupids: although these guys can be cool, it's always good to have one in a group to make sure that you're helping someone, groups of only stupids are dangerous. See: facebook.

That's all I have for now.

If there's something I've learned about highschool:
1. No one is cool. No exceptions.
2. Make friends with the teachers. Don't be considered a teacher's pet, but go in maybe once a week after school and ask them to explain something better to you. No good teacher will say know. (It's ALWAYS good to have the teach like you.)
3. No one is cool. No exceptions.
4. The only thing that matters is what you learn, schoolwise and "streetwise" and the people you meet.
5. No one is cool. Seriously, don't worry about being cool.
6. Enjoy it! Try and take classes that you like.
7. Work hard but don't make it take up all of your time. Find a healthy balance.

(Just a general guide, Not directed ant anyone.)

Just my two bits, just in case any fellow highschoolers are having a tough time.

That really sucks. I almost came close to breaking my neck once, but I had two surgeries done within a single year (Appendicitis and Testicular Torsion, both very painful)

I must be indestructible. Closest thing to breaking a bone was giving myself a couple sprains as a kid, despite the fact that:

- I mountain bike down mountain trails and had many wipeouts.
- I snowboard and had many wipeouts.
- I skydive and I dove my canopy (and myself) into the ground one day after misjudging the 300ft entry altitude for a 90 degree swoop.
- Fell down several rocky mountain paths during SERE school.

In all honesty, I've been pretty lucky.

I'm pretty sure I got a concussion once. Somehow found myself stumbling around by some stone benches, then apparently fell onto one headfirst, because when I opened my eyes, everything was sideways and my head hurt like hell

(The weird thing is that that was like half a year ago and my head still hurts if you touch it on the right spot.)

I've had concussions that threw my eyes off for a few hours, but never broke anything. Then again, when you work with video games for a living constantly in overtime, you don't really get much chances to kill yourself quickly.

Urg, I've had no broken bones, despite jumping a 7 foot ramp on my skis, tumbling down a giant set of stone stairs trying to go down it with a scooter (UCLA medical building). The worst I've had was appendicitis. In Russia. Actually not that bad considering they give out morphine like candy, but still, enemas are no fun.

Um... you're thinking of Canada. Appendicitis? Fuckton of morphine. Broken leg? Fuckton of morphine. Tripped over a twig and sent by idiots? You stay there for a goddamn week and get a fuckton of morphine.

I pressed the A button too much and now I have to talk to the Pokemon Center lady all over again.

I broke my leg and didn't get any morphine... and as a resident of Canada I demand my free morphine! I feel cheated.

You think that's bad? I pressed A too many times and had to sit through Kaepora Gaebora's speech in Ocarina of Time twice.
