Making a Brony Orchestral Mix for My Dad

Postby Freewave » 10 Jun 2012 10:50

Well my dad love's classical music so I'm putting together a pony orchestral compilation for his birthday. Would like to get some of the best available music on there. As he has no clue I'm a brony it's kind a step in admitting I am. I played my JefftheStrider Remix in the car once and he did like it.

I've got Makkon, JefftheStrider, Dr. Dissonance, Tsyolin, David Larsen, StormWolf's 2 Orchestral Tracks, and Dark Symphony so far but would love some recommendations especially with track names. Any help (asap) would be appreciated! :D

Aww man, I don't think my latest track would really count as orchestral since I do have a synth buried in the mix (Along with some other not very orchestral effects) otherwise I would totally shamelessly plug myself here.

Good luck on your search though :P You already have all the artists I would recommend for this.

You could try this old thing I made, it's more emotive than some, but I don't know what kind of classical you're looking for.

Long time pianist and mediocrity extraordinaire.

Came back to say, Belgerum has some decent stuff I dunno if you've checked him out yet Pon-3 or if it would fit into the mix as I wouldn't really say its classical. (Orchestral yes)

Quick example

Sorry If I'm not very helpfull

Did you download the Seeds of Kindness album? There where a couple orchestral-like tracks on there.

Other than that, you've named all the artists that I have orchestral pieces by.

I dislike my original song Luna Deos a great deal. Rather, instead, use the finished version Deae Lunae. I put more work into this song than into any other.

Here's everything else, there's a few on there such as Hallowed Waltz that he might appreciate.

Ah will do. Thx Makkon. Well I stuck with a sampler with a few selections from 7 artists who excel rather than a more varied selection like i would normally prefer. Kinda hated to do it but I think it's a more consistent listen and matches hopefully what he will like.

back cover and front cover

I've heard that bronymusic.com readers want genres included on the blog and i think I've learned it's nice to have a selection of artists and tracks ready when you are looking rather than having to scramble or not have anything. Hopefully my dad likes the music, who knows if he'll investigate the origins but I'll have to see what's next. It is nice to have a copy of this for my own family to listen to as well. :D

Hmm, okay. In that case he might particularly enjoy this, that is if he doesn't mind bagpipes.

Just want to say, that the piece X-Trav put up is good and should be added!
