They're a collection of over-processed noises that prove to be useless in the long run, and take a toll in the professional quality of your work... anyone worth their salt would put time and effort into being able to produce on their own, at least, if they plan on getting any better. Learn your stuff, don't depend on other people to make things for you.

What about people like me who use Vengeance samples along with other sample packs and straight-up cuts of professional music to synthesize new drums by layering 2-3 samples for each section of our kits?

That's fine, but recommending vengeance to someone who is just getting into music is a bad move imo xD Manipulating the audio and making something new with it is great, but telling someone to use them instead of teaching them how to make their own sounds can give them a sideways view of electronic music production.

I've deleted most my sample packs but kept the single claps from xfer, layering them work great for when I'm too lazy to record my own clap sounds!

Why has this never occurred to me before? Oh right, my mic sucks.

am i the only one who actually LIKES the Vengeance sounds? i don't know if it's because i actually do DnB or whatever, but i don't see the problem. while true that every sample pack (vengeance included) will have its good and bad sounds, i don't see MUCH of a problem.

I LOVE the Vengeance sounds. But people are complaining about it being "processed" (Which I have no clue what they mean by this) which supposedly means something. But whatever, Lavender kinda gave us her own sample pack... So... I might be using that more often... If not always...
