Ok, time for new stuff. As you might have already guessed, this is going to be a tribute to Her Majesty :3 As always, comments are much appreciated ^_^ It's the first half, i suppose.

This is neat.

Neat is the perfect word to describe this.

HOWEVER (critique incoming)

Instrumentation: Is the modest combination of flute and strings (and I think I hear triangle - kudos to you) worthy of Celestia? It's a great sound and very peaceful, but you could change the title to something Fluttershy related and pull it off just as well.

Protip: Brass = Royalty.

Swelling brass fanfares would be an excellent way to herald this as a royal piece.

Blending and Contrast: The flute is wonderfully melodic, and you do bring in the strings, but is there a chance you could spice things up a bit? Perhaps allow the cello/bass to have a say or something. Of course this point is almost negated as the work is unfinished, but just keep it in mind.


Critique over, this is neat. Quality little idea you got brewing over here.

Perhaps ~3:00 you could bring the timpani back.

Everyone sees the timpani as this massive booming drum a la Space Odyssey or 20th Century Fox, but not whacking the celestia out of it might be better for the ending.
