We have people who dropped out. This needs to be confirmed, but if you have a song/WIP ready to show on 4th (+2 weeks after that for the official album release), then it is possible you can get in.

Not only did the quality drop to like 64kbps (it feels that way), but the song is completely different. Wasn't the advert supposed to promote the actual songs from the album? Just saying.

Okay. i haven't been here in forever, so I'll try my best to fix this.... No Promises though.

Latest version of my track. Still no vocals, however, but I've toned the drums down since uploading this. Can't remember if I posted it or not though... >.>

Anyway, there's backstory to this. Very much a personal theme, but people have told me it helps when listening to the track. I guess I can also post lyrics as well, as they'll likely be included in the next upload of this (which sadly might be after the WIP due date.)

"The idea behind it is pretty personal to me, but it's basically about a guy who is trapped in day-to-day routine and desperately wants to escape. His relationships are falling out around him, he's depressed and, during office hours, he stares out of the window at the mountains and imagines himself on the highway driving away to nowhere. 'White Cords' (headphone cables) is a reference to myself in school, in which I'd use my iPod as an escape from everything (and the earbuds being the 'sensory deprivation plugs'). Later in the song, time skips ahead to the past year, in which I was still 'finding myself'. The more tranquil sections of the song represent me when I cut myself off from the reality I was in. It was a good state. The harshest segments deal with the reality; school, depression, relationships, doubt and my ex, which was a silently-abusive relationship. The ending segment is something I want to leave up to the listener. They can assume it is a daydream in which the character is looking out his office window at the mountains and the forest, or they can assume it actually happens. The lyrics in the last two lines are: "You won't realize this pain, let's go out and chase the sun" in which he leaves his life behind, is dropped off, and figuratively 'chases the sun', before stopping and realizing that the life he imagined may not be all he thought."

Yeah, just a bit haha. I don't like writing about death and all that though. I much prefer to write about my own experiences and the struggles people face. Human stuff. imo, that makes for a much more impacting experience. When I listen to Porcupine Tree's 'Fear of A Blank Planet', I feel totally connected to the story and utterly depressed by the end of it. It's perfection in sound. Poetry, almost.

I'm much better these days though. :p I just had a pretty rough time the past 3 years, and I figured it'd be a good idea to write about.

However, since a number of people *cough* forgot *cough* that they are supposed to be involved in this, we only have a few. Well, I guess that can also do it - I mean, it's a promotional video, not an all-in-one mix.

ok Matt, so after reading some of that.... whatever it was, lemme explain:

I dropped your song by a single semitone. It did screw it up, and that wasn't supposed to happen; I'm sorry. However, I now have it "fixed", but it just forced Legion's remix even higher and threw it off elsewhere.

No use crying over spilled milk, amirite?

I didn't screw with the pitch of Kyoga's song because frankly, I couldn't figure out the pitch or the tempo. My DAW said it was A so I said "that works, there's mostly little/no pitch during a good deal of it, so I can use it as a song-bridger" and went with it like that.
