Pony Metal Album Collabortion Project (Working Thread)

Holy shit how long has this thread been up and how come I didn't look at it until now? I definitely wanna do some screams for this. I've been really working on my technique and finally learned how to use my diaphragm more probably (I know cause my tummy hurts more rather than my throat).

I might wanna do some guitar tracks as well, but idk. I might not be that good to play for this album. I can play real simple stuff, like breakdowns, but sweep picking is just not my forte. All really depends on how this album is gonna be.

To answer your question, it's been long enough for us to get too many offers to handle and start cutting most of our volunteers to make this project manageable, so we're afraid we can't take you on board this time around. Sorry

That's awesome stuff! I can tell you've gotten better at screaming, the Balloon Party track was awesome.

If you can keep up with odd time signatures, then you can join in on some breakdowns. Breakdowns always sound cool in complex rhythm patterns.

We already planned out the album, and we're probably going to start work on it next weekend. I'll try to get Skype tomorrow or on Sunday to make collaboration easier.

Well if I do end up being part of this collab, then awesome! I can handle odd and changing time signatures.
If not, then oh well. It'll still be nice to hear this album once it's done.

I like these a lot. I'd say we'd take you, if you think you could hold back on the rhyming just a little, but it's really up to George.

So, Pinkie Guy got back to me and said he couldn't commit, and that he'd rather let someone else take third guitar anyway. So yeah, that's still up for grabs.

Ooo Ooo Ooo, pick me pick me pick me! I noes how to play a guitar. I can do things like... like pluck the strings, and... and hold my finger down on one of those fret thingies so that it makes a different... different sound

No but seriously. I know how to play guitar fairly well. I've had about 4 years of experience so far. Real good at playing breakdowns (even though they're not that hard to play at all). I do small solos, but can't really get all that complex. I can also do smaller things like hit pinch harmonics. I'd probably just want to be a pretty basic rhythm guitar.

I'm trying to think of new concepts that haven't been tried yet. Opeth and Porcupine Tree is about as close as it gets to this concept.
