GUYS GUYS LOOK

Okay, well not really look, so much as check this out, dudes.

So, for one of my classes, I have to write an essay. One of the available prompts is "gender roles".

I'm so writing about bronies.

Any ideas you guys have for a 4-5 page essay on bronies? I was thinking mainly talk about what bronies are, and how we challenge traditional gender roles, while dabbling a bit in haters and whatnot.

Thoughts? I know you guys have probably included bronies or MLP in schoolwork before, but this is a big deal for me :3 *squee*

What exactly is the prompt? Because 'gender roles' seems a little really vague.

Are you planning on elaborating about why we became bronies in the first place (humans desire to be special) , or are you going to talk more about who/what we are?

Sounds like an really awesome essay, and I've never really included being a brony into school life, except for enhancing some pshycologi theories xP

Haha, well the entire class is a little vague. The idea is that it's all open to your interpretation.

The class itself has a theme of "Authority and Faith", which we are to somehow integrate as a sub-theme in our essay.

Well aren't gender roles all preconceived notions? Except for a few, of course, gender roles typically depict women liking and doing certain things and activities, while men are to like and do other things and activities. The concept of men liking "My Little Pony" is kinda something that goes directly opposite to what is expected of us.
