Pony Metal Album Collabortion Project (Working Thread)

Track idea, because I'm an unwarranted level of impatient for the tracklist to start falling into place.

Track Nine - Downtempo death metal with some acoustic/orchestral/maybe even choir sections, like 'Seasons in the Abyss' by Slayer or 'Heir Apparent' by Opeth. Possibly some Becoming the Archetype influence in the vocals (meaning we either layer multiple takes of the same growl or vocode the growling). Lyrically, this one might (bear with me here) tell a story about how Starswirl the Bearded developed whatever spell it is that he's 'famous' for with the aid of, I dunno, something sinister (I'd say a demon, but this is ponies we're talking about).

I am also more of an instrumental guy, but I can probably make some lyrics for this project.

There is a guy floating around here, whose name escapes me at the moment, who is a full-time lyricist. We might try enlisting his aid if we need it. (He made a thread called 'I Write Lyrics' or something, very self-explanatory.)

Melodic technical death metal song about Rarity (since she seems to be everyone’s favorite pony on MLR). Its about Rarity. You're welcome MLR.

Tentative track title and theme: "Give Until It Hurts" (relax guys, I wouldn't write a song about Rarity dying...)

Yeah. I think that each W.I.P should have its own visual until all of the songs are finished. Then the final album art could be something that features parts from all of the individual pieces.

I restrung my 6 string guitar (which has Floyd Rose; thus it was a pain in the ass), and derped. It cannot tune any higher than drop C or the string tension is too high and the strings might break. Luckily, most of the stuff planned for the album is in low tunings, and I can just use my 8 string for anything else.
