It's a very old and very rusty AKAI midi keyboard and doesn't function completely properly -- some keys's sensitivity is a lot different from others.

This is a bit dated as today is the last day I'll ever use this room. I pack up and head home for the summer tomorrow, but I will be in a room similar to this again next semester though.

I suppose, but with a mouse, everything you do is deliberate. It's exactly what you want and there's no room for error.

i usually record with a midi keyboard then edit the note after to get em perfect

Needless to say its one awesome synth

They started making the MS2000B back in 2000 and it was discontinued in 2007, if my facts are right, so I had to get this one used. I have been considering this synth one for a year now am am very pleased with the purchase. Despite limitations, hardware is far more fun to use (imo).

It has a button that just adds uncontrollable distortion which can make some of the most disgusting sounds I have heard (good for dubstep though).

Nothing, the one without a keyboard will fit in any 19" rack unit where as the keyboard one is much bigger (obviously) and has pitch and mod wheels.
