Pony Metal Album Collabortion Project (Working Thread)

Oh, and, uh, to clarify, not drop-oriented dubstep. The buildup could lead into a solo or something, but I'm envisioning (if you can use that word for music ) groove riffs over heavy reece basses and somewhat distorted sung vocals. No wubs or anything... Well, maybe as part of a solo (lol wub solo) or something.

Dubstep started without wubs, man. Go listen to Skream or Benga or Magnetic Man or something, old-school dubstep is where it's at.

But I was actually thinking a more liquid dubstep feel, kind of like Addictia's track Stargazing. That's dubstep, and there's not a single wub in the whole track; the low end is built around a heavy reece, which is that DnB-sounding 'waah' or whatever.

I'll be thinking about that, but coming up with lyrical themes, etc. has never been a strong suit of mine, as I believe I've already mentioned to you.

Besides, I'm sure you've already heard the intro I made a week or so ago. I'm going to work on that one. If you want to add a bit of atmosphere to it though, then by all means do so. I think we could work it into something that's a lot better, and a bit reminiscent of that thing I just made a couple hours ago.

As for the name of the album, how about something involving Collabortion and ponies. The abortion part of collabortion should be emphasized so that grammar nazis stop whining and start headbanging. Those words could be on the cover in the style of a brutal death metal logo, but ponified somehow and somewhat legible. Then the cover art would be creepy (maybe a little gory, but not too much) and have lots of ponies, including all of our OCs (with crazed expressions and whatnot). It would probably match the content that will be on the album, metal, ponies, and insane stuff. Hell, that 20+ track I layed out a basic plan for will be about Celestia bringing back Twilight as a zombie because she cannot cope with Twilight's death; f*cking brutal, insane, and related to ponies. The artwork, name, and logo must mach such content...

Track idea, because I'm an unwarranted level of impatient for the tracklist to start falling into place.

Track Nine - Downtempo death metal with some acoustic/orchestral/maybe even choir sections, like 'Seasons in the Abyss' by Slayer or 'Heir Apparent' by Opeth. Possibly some Becoming the Archetype influence in the vocals (meaning we either layer multiple takes of the same growl or vocode the growling). Lyrically, this one might (bear with me here) tell a story about how Starswirl the Bearded developed whatever spell it is that he's 'famous' for with the aid of, I dunno, something sinister (I'd say a demon, but this is ponies we're talking about).

Just an idea (Also, holy crap I came up with lyrical ideas )

Tell? I think I've told all that I can for the moment. This project is bigger than just you, me, and Chromatic; I'd love to see what one of the other guys could do with an idea like that. They'd probably make it suck less

But yeah, most of my ideas tend to be in the instrumental arena, if that hasn't communicated itself by now.
