Weird issue with FLS mixer

Postby Matthew N. » 11 May 2012 08:25

I have no clue how I made it happen, but for some reason every single insert in the mixer is linked to my kick insert as if it was my master channel (it looks like I have 2 master channels.)

Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

EDIT: Just to clarify - there is no sidechaining as far as I can see.

No idea what could cause this, but when FL installed it should have put a reset shortcut in your start menu. Run that and it should fix it. If not, just attach the kick to a different channel and roll with it?

This is not a FL-system-related problem. It appear to be project-related. Yeah, I'll try moving the kicks, but if I remember correctly I tried that and the whole project went silent. It's like some sort of invisible sidechaining is going on...

EDIT 14.05: Did a work-around. Dumped the master channel and made that bugged one the new master. Works well... for now.

Huh, that is kind of strange. Have you checked your sends? Your inserts might be sending to the kick instead of to the master track. Each group or track (depending on how you routed it) should be pointing to the master channel.

Apart from a few channels that I routed into another mix for easier filter control, everything was linked to master - including the kick.

However frustrating it was, it's all good now. I guess it's a one-time thing.
