Your F*cking Stupid

Postby senntenial » 12 May 2012 17:04

Wow I made a song with a profane title. Aren't I cool?

yes, it's supposed to be "your". Satirizing those people on comment boards who insult others without speaking properly.

Then your Massive skills are... *puts on sunglasses*... massive. Yeeeeaaaah.

Besides the title (no, not the grammar - the f word) I love it. Sounds very professional. Something I would definitely buy. Maaaaaybe it could be a little bit longer.

The composition's pretty neat overall, kinda a bit "obviously inspired by" Equinox but that's not essentially bad in any way, the influence is just pretty clear, though the Pentatonic leads are pretty neat breaking up the dub vibe with some asian tinges.

As for production goes, there's a bit of issues in this but the main one is that the drums are really weak, which isn't good at all in a wubstep track. Parallel compression could help make them pop more, but some other things to consider would be layering your kicks and snares with other more "powerful" sounds on the low ends to add more body while the main sounds you're using provide the main sound. 808 bass drum kicks are easy enough to find and work very well to help increase the low end power of any kick.

Thanks for the critiques! I'll have to look up the Parallel compression because I have no idea what that is, haha. Drums were a bit muffled.
All stuff to improve upon~
Also sorry about the title lol.
I think my FLP is actually called wjoenfsd
but I was like "OK WHAT IS A TITLE THAT CATCHES PEOPLE'S ATTENTION?"
so that happened...
