I am finally starting my entry, is chilled out melodic dubstep welcome or does everything need to be so distorted it turns to plain noise?

Originally I was purposefully avoiding doing something for Balloon Party because I didn't want to half-ass my submission (which would have been the case), but then this thing came about, and I only realized today this could be for Balloon Party. I'm curious as to whether this is Balloon Party material at the moment in terms of quality and hardness, considering this is my first shot at moombahcore/dubstep/anything using Massive. Hopefully, I'll wind up submitting this.

I am finally starting my entry, is chilled out melodic dubstep welcome or does everything need to be so distorted it turns to plain noise?

As far as I can tell, chilled out melodic dubstep may not be quite hard enough, but it needn't be ultra distorted to be hard. I'll bet you could use the same set of sounds and make it THIS HARD by having more dynamic and rhythmic contrast than you would normally use in chill out dubstep. Have it build up that suspense and release the tension with a bang. No distortion necessary.

Even for a rough version I thought it was good. The guitar seems really good, don't know what you would change about them. Good luck on the vocalist, though the current ones weren't that bad.

Honestly though, even if it does get rejected, I couldn't bear to work on that song anymore. Not that I don't like it anymore, but like, sheesh. It took up so much of my time. :S
