Hello, it's this newb again!

After a lot 'on and off' when it came to mixing, I decided to try creating something entirely new with the skill and knowledge I've managed to obtain these past few months, and I'm somewhat happy to announce that I've come to the stage where I could use with some help again.

I'd like to try focusing on to make it sound better before changing the song's pattern (that would be the right word to use right?). Some parts are to plain, and the bassline.. Sounds just wrong at times, and I'd love to get some pointers/advice on how to make it sound better.

My own, current thoughts on what to change, would first be to add the other half of the 'chorus' starting at about 1:19 (can't believe I forgot it.. >.<), and then spice up the last chorus starting at 2:05 a little bit, even though I have no idea how. After this, however, I sort of have no clue.

Would adding vocal samples help? Maybe make the drum a little bit more varied?
