Diatonic Modes and Scales

I don't know where exactly this falls in, but i've been working on a reference sheet for Diatonic modes and scales to help compose and learn the basic scales. Critique would be appreciated.

Eww, diatonic...
This is handy for people who understand keys! But for a fair few people here who don't understand, this wouldn't be that helpful...mainly because it's in relation to keys!
Maybe explain without using key signatures? That would help!

As for easter egg, I dunno, you spelt "Aeolian" wrong? =P

But i don't get exactly what you mean. What do you mean "explain it without key signatures"? Could you give me an example?

Well, you're currently giving people a picture of the key signature and saying 'it starts on X'...many people here haven't got that great a music theory knowledge, so even reading a stave is alien to them.
But a lot of them understand a piano reel, or simple A B C D etc, so for them, explain without key sigs!

For example, do what you're doing underneath that: giving them intervals! Semitones/tones (or half/whole steps) are a good way of explaining as you don't need that big a knowledge to get it!

Something like a table indicating the number of half steps per scale?

Sure and people can just start on whatever note, follow the table and get their desired mode!

This is a bit embarrassing, but i actually am still learning on how to actually use these scales and how they fit together. I originally meant this to serve as a personal study guide, but though about sharing it with others. But I'm still working on other references. I can try finding a pattern in this one and make another reference for it. After all, that would make it easier for me to learn too.

Yeah, i should simplify it. I'm pretty sure if i sit down with it now, i would not be able to understand much of it.
