Boys' Choirs

Postby ÜberTriangle » 26 Apr 2012 14:10

I heard a lot about boys' choirs, they are common at churches, a lot of studios sampled them and included in sound libraries such as Cinesamples - Voxos and East West Quantum Leap - Symphonic Choirs. So, here is the question:
Are there any girls' choirs?

No there aren't any girl choir VSTs because no one really has ever used girls choirs that much (they exist obviously, but they aren't really something that a composer would write for). Whereas it is tradition in Briton to use boys and male altos in choirs for soprano/alto parts.

The funny thing is that I was a soprano in my school/church choir. Then I got to an alto, and on my last semster of 8th grade, a tenor/bass. Actually for a while I had a 4 octave vocal range ala Justin Bieber (had the hair and everything). Oh man, the stories I had there will last me a lifetime.
