<PINO><What genre?> Harmony

Now With 20x more Vengeance house 2 than Omnipony's "Chrome Saddle". BEFORE YOU SAY "WHEREDAFUCKISDAPONIES?!" let me explain. I'm working on a little EP(WILL BE FREE) where I take a few ponysquare friends OC's and make a song for them, not all of the music will have obvious pony relations, but a couple might. I will be releasing the first 2-3 full tracks, and uploading teasers for the rest. This is really inspiring me to work my hardest, so I like it.

Also, I am aware this is in the house genre, but which sub-genre is it? I kinda want to say French... But I dunno, I don't feel like it is at the same time.

yay someone else is using PINO in conversation (awesome, hope it catches on)!

as for genre it is kinda french styled with a little electro. pretty cool track. it does take awhile to really get going (minute 3 when the guitary synth comes in it really gets moving) as it is a bit bare before during the breakdowns. not sure if its my headphones but the eq sounds really weird / off, a lil trebley/distorted. :(

but pretty awesome man ;) glad to hear about the free ep.

Did you listen to it from soundcloud or YouTube? I found the YouTube version a bit more distorted than the soundcloud. Also, kill me. I forgot to mess around with limiter when mastering it >_<!

Glad you liked it!

Youtube and Soundcloud compress the sound
Youtube can get some nasty distortion and other little artifacts that can kill the quality on tracks, especially really bass heavy ones (why you should get your music legally if you're a stickler for audio quality).
Soundcloud on the other hand from I've noticed just has a tendency to kill the sub bass at times

As for what genre of house it is honestly at the point where you're being really precise with subgenres I think you're just needlessly splitting hairs. If anything it reminds me most of French House but I don't know the characteristics of French well enough to make any sort of verdict.

I'm about 80% sure it's French, now, so I'm just labeling it as French house. And the whole youtube thing, it usually works fine with sony vegas, but my trial expired, so I'm stuck using avs4you for HD uploads, and just playing it back had terrible distortion.

I don't have the money for sony vegas, and getting me to pirate something is like teaching a newborn baby to do a backflip, because I'm just stupid.
