If I may intervene...

I have been on stages. I have played for crowds. I frankly disagree with this;

I have read and taken what the Mod(s) said into deep consideration... Your right, all of you. I do make things seem all about the fame game, I AM a trixie person, anyone who's ever been on a stage with hundreds of people cheering you on, meeting your idols, getting treated like someone at the top around my age and point of success wouldnt be any different.

Specifically, this;

anyone who's ever been on a stage with hundreds of people cheering you on, meeting your idols, getting treated like someone at the top around my age and point of success wouldnt be any different.

And to get even more specific;

1
getting treated like someone at the top

and

2
anyone who's ever been on a stage with hundreds of people cheering you on... ...around my age and point of success wouldnt be any different.

To the first, Uhm... No. No we don't. No they don't; I should say, to correct myself because I'm almost sure if you even read this you'll pull some card like, "Oh, you've only played for a max of like 180 people? Well, I've played for 181 so I'm better than you." Or some shit similar. I'm listening to your music on YouTube at the moment, and you do not seem to be deserving of being treated "At the top." Trust me; people who know nothing about music swooning over pretty computer sounds and a kick drum is NOT being 'At the top' far from it; in fact. If that is at the top; then I have been "At the top" for months.

To the second;
You mention your age; I suspect you are young, yes? Perhaps in your teens? I am 16 years old. I am job-titled as the DJ for the roller rink here in town, I've played shows of my own, (as opposed to playing shitty radio music and Skrillex at work) at the local all-ages venue several times for crowds reaching numbers close to 200 people, and I also write my own music, (though that is a developing skill as it stands now) as well as remixes; and you know what? I'm proud of what I do.

At any age, you should behave respectfully of others, yourself, and the environments you inhabit. Regardless of whether that environment is a cardboard box underneath a bridge, a stage with thousands of people in front of you, or a My Little Pony forum on the internet. Regardless of whether those people are homeless, mentally handicapped, or John F. Kennedy. (Yes I'm aware he's dead; Thanks)

This post? This post is not being respectful to your environment, or yourself, or the members of the forum you are posting on. You come off as overbearing, narcissistic, rude, demanding, conceded, and disrespectful. Regardless of whether this is your intention, the way you really are, or accidental is completely irrelevant. You come off this way, and it is unbecoming. I strongly suggest taking steps to fixing it; potentially following some of the ways already mentioned by my fellow members of My Little Remix.

With that said, I hope you have a lovely day.
10/15/2014 - I finally return to ponies? Maybe.

Actually it was more like 10/12/2015

My current SoundCloud, pony & non-pony things found here.

I have 4 EP's under this alias!

Somepony talk to me, I are the lonelies. :c

I just love your posts mate (:

So you're not a brony, you didn't make music based off the show, you didn't make music based off the characters, but you still wanted your stuff up on EqD?

And, if you already have a job as a DJ and a record deal, what are you doing posting around in a brony forum seeking for attention in a community that is far smaller than what your record label can reach out to?

>It's made to be flawed, it's made specifically for the listener to go "I like this and I can dance to it but at the same time I hate it."

Are you even being serious right now (: So you purposely make your tunes much worse so people can go "Hmmm...I like this song, but I hate this song" (By the way nobody has a complicated relationship with a song, they either like it or they don't), rather than people going "Oh god yes I love this tune!"?

And I think you just discovered how tolerable we are, because we are being cheerful and joking around the matter, on general music listening forums you would have been called a fag, retard, stupid asshole a long time ago, and people wouldn't hesitate to point out how your music makes god cry or something like that.

And what do you mean "Not the whole attention thing, just the kinda tell it how I want it thing"? That makes absolutely no sense (: Look at your post, just look at it; it starts with: "HEY! I'M LOOKING TO GAIN POPULARITY!"

Is that "telling it how you want it", or is it the other thing? hmmm....

We are all trying to be popular in some ways mate, it is no fun making songs that nobody will listen, but our terms of popularity differ a lot; for you, popularity is concerts, gigs, EPs, for me, it's just comments and feedback (:

>I AM a trixie person

psst...nobody likes that.

Okay, I'm being as sincere as I'll ever be right now, for your sake (:

Have fun, and do watch some episodes while you're at it (you said you're not a Brony, afterall ;D)

I've been in that kind of situation, and to be quite honest. I hate it.

I dislike being praised or held up above others. I make stuff for myself, and share it with others and hope they enjoy it.

Some genuine thank yous for putting on a good show is all the praise I would need, versus magazine articles and idle worshiping from people that simply follow the latest trend.

And I despise people with the specific goal of getting popular and famous. Why? Simply put, their music sucks. Long gone is the passion they put into their songs. Long gone are the feelings and emotions they put into each one. Their music feels empty, soul less, and lacks any kind of ingenuity and creativity because they slowly all start sounding like everybody else. I don't want to be the guy people feel obligated to mosh pit to.

I want to be that guy where people go, "That's some interesting music." I want to be the guy elitists yell at for breaking the rules.

Okay, to heck with what I said. Here's why you won't get 'famous': Your music has issues.

Sunrise: The resonance on the intro drums is extremely harsh and would like be uncomfortable to listen to on a club system. the hi-hats and snare sound robotic and dry, and have absolutely no dynamics to them. The clap is far too high in the mix, and they sound out of place in the mix that early on by themselves. By 1:30 there is so much going on it's hard to keep track, despite the fact that it has already overstayed its welcome. Overall the mix on the breakdown is okay, but the listener would be starting to wonder where all the low-end is going to appear from. There is no sense of tension or build up, and the drop comes out of nowhere. The drop itself seems to follow a completely different melodic pattern, and there is no real bass to it, leaving the listener underwhelmed, especially since it lasts for such a short amount of time before it changes, a stark contrast to the intro which took umpteen measures to go anywhere.

Watch Me Lose It: Starts off promising, the lead 'wah' sound is a little high in the mix, but this resolves once the bass appears. Then pony samples. So much for not writing music for bronies. Then after that point I'm not sure what's going on. The synth effect that's bouncing around on a portamento doesn't seem to be there for any particular reason. It sounds like it's trying to be The Island Pt. 2, but it doesn't succeed, and just sounds odd. Again, there is no bass to this drop aside from the kick.

Twlot Spok: Starts off very promising, with the cut Twilight vocal samples building up the melody. The reverb allows them to sit in the mix. Some of the elements seem unbalanced, and it could use some overall compression on the Twilight samples to even out the volume of them. However it begins to overstay it's welcome. Then the pitch begins to waver oddly and becomes uncomfortable to listen to, like someone playing guitar while someone else slowly put it's out of tune. Then when the drop arrives, we come to the same problem as before. The synth is alright, it doesn't have much texture or movement, and there is very little going on in the low end, and the wavering pitch makes it odd to listen to, and leaves nothing memorable about it. Also as with previous tracks, it sounds like you composed the first half, then looped it and made minor changes, which gives the impression that you have just listened to the same track twice.

Bon Bon: The piece starts out alright. Everything seems to be very centered, and the melody goes on for quite a lot of time without any variation. The claps are far too much in the mix, and sound dry. Then everything gets a little chaotic and starts doing the pitch wavering thing again. The drop arrives, and for the first time I hear some resemblance of bass. However everything is so drenched in reverb and obscurity that I can't tell what's going on. I'm not sure what the aim was, but after this part, the variation in the melody is welcome up until the pitch yet again begins to waver oddly. In the final 'drop', it sounds like a siren throughout on the melody synth, and I'm left wondering what it was I listened to.

Flutters: I have a lot less in terms of issues with this. There is clear variation in the intro, and builds up tension. The synth sounds a little too out of tune, a chorus may have fixed this. There is such a thing as sounding too analogue and pushing the cents too far over. The drop is satisfying, if a little reverb heavy. The bright synth after the drop plays havoc with the overall mix, making frequencies duck, and there are lots of compression artifacts in the mids. The two combine into a satisfying second drop, with enough variation on the first to keep it interesting.

Make Rainbows...: By far the strongest track out of them all. There is actual bass, structure, and nothing outright wrong with the track, aside from some mixing issues. Some of the synths in the breakdowns could be quieter as they drown out the rest of what's going on quite severely.

I don't get the wrong not a brony musician thing..because all this music? Pretty pony influenced.

Your attitude, while it may have, as you say, advanced you somewhat, that's called networking. When you network, you push yourself on people, but you don't be outright rude to your friends. I treat everyone here as if they were my friends.

Making your music flawed on purpose isn't going to make people want to dance, it's going to make people want to go home. I have no idea how you got that idea in your head.

Best of luck. Hopefully the folks at your 'label' can show you a thing or two about mixing. Also I could get a track on iTunes tomorrow if I wanted.

yeah, we don't need to dump on Broadcasting, it's an entirely different league, you can't judge all radio stations/shows the same.
BTW How've you been, Sham?!?

Also, MLR, I've been around on the internet and have seen the things that people say and how they react in general, and I am very impressed with how intelligent and, given the circumstance, cordial and civil all of your responses have been. Thank you (:

The name is uncanny, ain't it?

Anyway, addressing the OP, while I don't agree with your goals and I don't really care to change them, I have to object to how you're going about doing it. No offence, but you really sound like an arrogant, attention seeking prick in your posts. Try to tone down, pick your words properly, and maybe someone will help you!

In all seriousness though, you should make music for yourself. You should make music for the sole reason that you like making it. If all you are doing is trying to gain popularity or attention, then good luck.

Y'know what, I was the local rock star in middle school, and I went through the whole boasting thing and thinking I was the shit. And it sucked. If I were to meet teenage me on the street, I'd slap him in the face and tell him how much of a whiny bitch he is.

My point is, no matter what your reasons, being an asshole is still inexcusable and people will still hate you for it. I don't care how much people love your music. It's still no reason to go tooting your own horn like that.

On a somewhat related note, I'd like to point out that the people who think they're on top are actually the people on the bottom. They think their stuff is so awesome simply because they aren't good enough to smell their own shit. The truly masterful people know every single flaw in their art -- it's what makes them so good, that they can point out everything wrong and then fix it. Think about that.

My my...
There are different ways to get popular, my friend, it only depends on how fast you want to get it, and what you want to give up...
1) Sell your soul to a big lable: If they don't throw your application away, you might be considered. Then comes about 1 and a half year skirmish between your lawyer and their lawyer, and then maybe some little things have changed in that adhesion contract. That might bring you some money and some fame... but in the end, all your songs belong to them, all you say belong to them, they will rape you and abduct you far worse than Joseph Kony could ever do. You will be a slave, and after the contract ran out, you stand there with nothing, because all the music you made now belongs to them. Sure, you might get some money, but for newcomers it is slightly enough to live normally. Don't imagine they give you big nice cars, a house at the beach and all that stuff: this is bullshit, this only happens, if you already are famous.

2) Work harder, and harder, and harder, and then you may get considered:
- You have to be an uber-musician, to achieve that...
- You need to do something noone else can, or noone else does...
- You have to play, play, play, and practice, practice, practice. With every gig you have, more people get to know you. Best would be, if they leave you in good memory, therefore the point "practice, practice, practice"...

These are not ways to get e-popular, e-popularity will bring you even less than the popularity I talk about. I will not tell anything about where I know that or something like that, else I will land on the list or something...
I probably don't need to mention, what I think about that whole thing you posted here, the others already mentioned everything...
