So there's this collab, right? Both the other person and I use FL Studio, and we've been using tons of samples, you know, percussion, vocals, real instruments, ravioli, what have you. We've been using Dropbox to share the files, so whenever anyone saves anything in the folder, the other person gets it in their computer automatically. Ideally, that would imply circumventing the whole sending over samples and importing them manually whenever someone does something to the project. I mean, we've even been using the "Export Project Files" function to place everything in the same folder, so FL knows to find it immediately.
And it had been working so far. You know, whenever someone added a sample, the other person didn't have to add anything by themselves, they would just open the file and carry on where the other left off. But all of a sudden it all went to hell. Now whenever someone adds something and saves it, not only does the new sample not carry over, in spite of being saved in the folder where that stuff is kept, but FL can't find any of the other samples that were previously added. Out of nowhere.
I can't fathom not continuing working the way we've been doing up to this point. Any insight anyone can offer on this is greatly, so greatly appreciated.
