<Non-pony><Original> Grasp

So it felt a bit weird at first writing a happy song, but I actually ended up having a lot of fun writing it.

Anyways, yeah. It's an electro song (I think). Also my first song that doesn't use the default FL Studio kick/snare samples, as well as my first time using EQ (only on the drum samples), so if you notice anything weird about the drums let me know (some day I'll invest in more than $20 headphones :l).

Any feedback would be awesome. <3

It sounds very much like a FL song with the way you bring pattern's in, try to use more automation and work on creative transitions between parts (it will only make it better). Its a nice sounding melody and all but the track is missing the glue that holds all the pieces together, you could try adding some reverb here and there and add high frequency stuff to fill it in.

What exactly do you mean by automation? ;o
And yeah, I'm used to epic drum fills as transitions, so this one was a bit awkward for me since I was trying to keep the drums relatively simple. I'll try to work on that in my next one.

Thanks for the feedback. <3

Composition wise, I like the upbeatness to it. However, you may not be able to hear it but that kick invades the low end quite a bit. Maybe it's just my headphones, but the kick drum seems to drown out and hope for a super low melody.

And the4thImpulse, a little bit of reverb and or filters can go a long way. Just don't like, over do it.

Would you mind downloading the MP3 of it (there's a Mediafire link in the video description) and checking if it's still there in that? Because I noticed that noise as well, but only on the YouTube video, not in the MP3 (which is weird because I changed nothing before uploading it :l). Could just be me though.

Ok, downloaded it and it's much better this way. It's still a bit big, but I think that's just because there isn't any sub melody. I really do like the ways the chip melodies wrap around each other. It adds a sort of harmony feeling I guess. It just needs more stuff to flesh it out, do that and this track will be great!

Guess YouTube adds some EQ or something to its uploads, then. D: Thanks for checking for me.

And thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to work on that in my next songs. :D

Its just the way it compresses HD video and sound.
