Hah, interesting :) That's the second time I've heard that here now (the Chrono Trigger thing), the other time being with my Seeds of Kindness submission. I haven't spent a lot of time listening to Chrono Trigger music at all, though!
Also, thank you (;

Working on something with more depth than any of my other tracks... Took about an 2 hours to get the bass how I wanted it...

http://gyazo.com/72d77c2596ad08535e7a325727449c8d

All that is layered together, with automation clips turning certain ones on and off on a simple pattern, which can be seen...

Here - http://gyazo.com/14690fc2a64a84cf5129ffaadbe4cf4e.

Then in after this whole bass magic part, I will be doing an electro lead... Or bass... Whatever you want to call it, that is basically one long note with automation clips changing it as it goes along. Holy fuck.

As for what genre it is, don't even ask me.

The drums in the intro reminds me of dutch house, but I have some bass going on in it that is somewhat similar to a Drum n Bass song that goes along the name of... Midnight runner. Ring any bells? And then a liquidy part in the final part of the intro. Then we get to what I showed, which I don't even know what to call it, and then the electro part and OH GOD THIS IS GOING TO KILL ME.

Ohhhhh gooooooodddddddd.... Wasn't paying attention to how long my song was... It's about 3:30 right now, and it's probably less than half way done.... THIS IS GOING TO BE CRAZY!

Well, I finished up a song recently, so I'm taking a break from making music right now. But, when I come back to it around monday-ish, I'll be playing around with oscillators, LFOs, mixers, and a few other tools so that I can create my own instruments instead of always using presets :) I'll be making a dubstep Trixie song. And I'll continue to work on making a bass drop as well xD gotta love the drop. I'll also be submitting it as one of my songs for the Balloon Party contest.

Plus, with spring break starting this friday for me, I'll be working around, making more songs like crazy. since there's not a whole lot more for me to do cause I'm so bored all the time :P

I pretty much worked on my drumkit and miking some more. I have these giant rototoms- what I did was I used aluminum tape to tape little steel plates to the frames near the rims. It lets the drumheads ring and sound open, but it suppresses some of the decay so they're tighter without being any duller. And I replaced my kick drum felt beater with a wood beater. The way I'm miking, I'm not getting enough definition on the kick.
It's funny because it's all totally insane and has nothing to do with what anypony else is doing, but it's still going in a direction and I still like it. I'm going to end up able to collaborate with others and give them drum tracks that are really different from anything else you can get :)

I've actually just completed a song, but I'm thinking about extending it a little with a slow, ocean-y piano outro to accompany the ambiance at the end. I'm also in the initial planning stages of a third jazz track to complete the 'Manehattan Series' (fifth jazz track all up, I think).

Let's just say I finished my new song, and all I need to do is add some audio clips.

Let's just say this song is almost 7 minutes long.

I'm debating whether to add a bass guitar to this Smile remix I'm doing.

And the extended (proper) version is uploaded! Any criticism is welcome, although it helps to have listened to Rarity Kills Sweetie Belle before listening to this (which is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-48z6YaTOw ).

A chiptune Everfree Forest theme. My first go at a full instrumental song, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Oh, and a cover of 'In Spite Of All The Danger' by The Quarrymen (read: The Beatles). CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THAT SONG.

For a United Equestria, an original song which will take influences from NACP's For the New Lunar Republic and Dissonance's For the Solar Empire.

I just started and it's not going as smoothly as I hoped.
Oh well. Just gotta keep at it I guess.

Speaking of DnB, guess what I'm working on?

Needs to have a little something something going in in the background, but I'm getting there, besides, this is what I got after 30 minutes of work, so yeah.
