Looks like I should be posting here.

Hi. I'm Legion2190. Ben. Phillip. Whatever works. I go by Legion as an artist name though. Just discovered this awesome, awesome place recently (my first time on a forum, actually). So... about me: I'm a 15-year old gaming and music fanatic. I've been a brony since December and got into the fan music scene sometime around January or February, when I started listening to Mic the Mic and MandoPony, slowly expanding from there. I was actually introduced to electronic music through this community, and have very recently (like, within the last 2 weeks) begun to teach myself how to make music in FL Studio. I'd tell you what genre, but I'm still trying to figure out the different sub-genres of electronic music. Shit's complicated. I also play the guitar passably and am learning how to play drums, because variety is the spice of life. Or... something like that.

Anyways, looking forward to getting to know people here, seems like a great place. Steam id is Legion2190, since people seem to be throwing those up here.

Hello everyone!

I'm bread/breadu/breadinator everything that has bread in it. My real name is Alex and I've been a brony since late last year.
I made some music a few years ago but got awfully bored with the rock/pop/metal genres and started listening to electronic music (house, dubstep and stuff like that) and because I could not create the music I wanted to with my guitar I settled for just being a listener. But maybe 3 or 4 months ago my friend convinced me to start producing electronic music in FL studio. And I've been trying my best to learn and create ever since.

Not much to say really. I'm really happy that I found this forum and I'm looking forward to talking to all of you. And if anyone would like to contact me or just talk I'm almost always available on skype.(s1lverfang)

Hello, I'm Derek. I typically use Derqua as my Internet username, and I started producing electronic music about 6 months ago as Diamond Dog. I'm 16 and obviously still in high school.

My favourite ponies are Rainbow Dash and Twilight. I enjoy nearly every kind of electronic music, and I like non-electro music also. I am also a regular contemplator of theoretical physics and possible applications, mainly in space, and I plan on majoring in a Computer Science related degree.

I became a brony early on last year and have enjoyed every moment since.

Anyway, pleasure to meet you all and what not.

Hello everyone! I'm Kaylee!
But I go by my music production alias, Luxston.

- I've been producing music since the age of thirteen ( currently fourteen, so one year )
- Up until just recently, I've been using FL Studio 10, I'm currently trying to learn how to sequence and master in Cubase 5 and Nuendo 4.3.
- I also have some experience in Video Editing, but do not have any motivation to edit anymore.
- I produce music under mulitple animal aliases, sort of like LapFox.
- I mainly produce Drum and Bass, any other genre goes under a different alias.
DAW: FL Studio & Cubase 5 / Nuendo 4.3
VSTs: Massive, Absynth, Battery, FM8, Pro-53 ( Still looking.. )

I've been using it for almost two years, much longer than LapFox's Truxton.
It's a name that I plan on keeping for a while.

Wee.

Gray Ham, real name Tim.
Signed up ages ago, but I never posted anything so I assume it was auto-deleted or something (some forums do that). I was reminded I had/used to have an account by Circuitfry's Balloon Party video.
I'm trying to get out of my baaaad habit of sampling all my music and make more original stuff.
currently on a hiatus from actively making music due to school

Hello Everypony!
My RL name is Miles and my online name is Extraho Vinco (ExV for short).

I'm a super noob when it comes to anything related to creating music but I am tirelessly plugging away at FL10 tuts.
Know PS5 and AE3 well been a brony since october last year, make wallpapers and stuff before (still do).
My favorite pony is Twilight Sparkle followed closely by Pinkie Pie ^_^ and I look forward to meeting and getting to know more of you all! :D

(reads post from piedoom on previous page... inferior post is inferior)

...Thats not good enough, better introduction GO!

So I have been interested in music ever since I was little, unfortunately have never had time for lessons besides what I could get in school, that and issues with money (you know rl stuff). I always find myself singing along with songs I love and enjoy, and my brother and I have always had a deep vested interest in music. Eventually my brother (no he isn't a brony) convinced me to pick up an application called FL Studio. I have been messing with it for a couple of weeks now and followed along with a couple really good tutorials.I have the basics but I want to take it to the “next level”.

My name is Miles I’m 18 and i’m a brony.
My screen name is Extraho Vinco (ExV for short).
I’m on my computer way too much.
I Program sometimes() {boolean z = true; if (z == true) {println(“maybe too much”);}}
I have an appreciation for all kinds of music and artwork.
Became a brony in october of last year (only reason I know is because that was when the first EP was added to my itunes library xD)
I do draw sometimes (terribly) and I also make wallpapers (several of which have been on EQD ^_^) <-- DUDE THAT LOOKS SOO MUCH LIKE A FACE ITS RIDICULOUS!!
I read a ton
and I play eve online and I’m a neat freak and completely random!

Favorite ponies are Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie!
why did i keep the original? because i thought it was funny! deal wit it.

Look forward to meeting you all! :D

S'pose I might as well post here too. I'm Blind, or Tim if you prefer. A few months ago I made a trance song for fun and showed it to some friends so we could have a good laugh about it, but they ended up liking it so I kept at it. And now here I am. Hi. I haven't really found any specific genres I like to stick to, but I generally make pretty happy music. I play the trombone and am in the process of re-learning to the piano. Feel free to add me on Skype (Skype name: blindbaker49) and say hi!

O hai.

Don't mind me, just introducing myself.

I'm some kind of dark ambient / experimental electronics musician. Making strange music since 2006. Usually just for fun but recently getting more serious about it. I'm German, 24 years old, male and currently a student. I started watching MLP:FiW a year ago when there was this sudden outburst of ponies everywhere on the internet. (Actually, I tried to find out what the fuss was all about as early as December, but I accidently watched "Pinkie's Party" from G3, was confused and tried again in March when I found G4 episodes.) Not a Clever Pony's stuff was what got me into the fandom and the music. And now I'm here.
My musical influences are Coil, Merzbow, Akira Yamaoka, David Lynch, Arvo Pärt, Tor Lundvall and lots of other musicians. Especially from subcultures like noise, industrial, dark ambient, witch house, neofolk and sludge.
I think I'd love to create some creepy music and remixes for this fandom which I always liked for it's creativity.
Let's see what I can do to make it a little bit more awesome. :3

Edit: At the moment I don't have any pony-related songs but I'll probably start doing some original songs pretty soon. Remixes would be cool, too. If some of you happen to have any vocal songs you'd like to have remixed, send me message and I might write you back to ask for some files and start remixing it. You can expect some strange stuff. You can also ask for some examples of my non-pony music if you'd like to hear something in advance. :3

I am I AM DUMB HORSE. I have horrible taste in music, and dream of one day being good enough to make my own garbage music to peddle at the masses.

Okay, enough joking around. I came for serious. I'm currently enrolled in college earning my Recording Arts Bachelor of Science so I can pursue a career in sound design or music composition for video games, television, and movies. My experience working with audio is pretty limited, so I'm hoping to sharpen my skills here as well as mingle with musicians. Also, I find miniature, pastel-colored cartoon horses to be PARTICULARLY SPIFFY, and would love to create some music of COINCIDING LEVELS OF SPIFF in homage to their excellence.

Postby Sgt-Whip (DJQ) » 14 Mar 2012 01:33

Hi all,

My name is Sgt-Whip. I've been meaning to set up an account here ever since Automatic Jack cued me in that this site exists (I live under a rock, and in front of my speakers. Both keep me equally separated from the brony community). Now that I've finally gotten around to it, I hope I'll be able to contribute and share music with everybrony here.

I don't really have much history with music, if I'm going to be completely honest. I started out with FL, and didn't take it seriously for five years. Only recently has dubstep and MLP convinced me to be a productive member of the internet again. I'm actually an English/Philosophy major, and will graduate in roughly two years time (if all goes to plan), so it should be clear that I have no idea what I'm doing.

Fruity Loops 10 is my main DAWS, and Traktor Scratch Duo 2 is my main DJ software. I've been meaning to look into EnergyXT since I picked up a copy recently, but experimentation has been slow. I've also recently gained access to a Linux computer, so I'd like to try out MusE and Mixxx as some other potential audio programs.

I want to come across as both an experimental artist and as someone who is open and willing to listen to others for their critique, conversation, and ideas. The act of inventing something new is a multiple member process, and so I believe it is very important to keep conversation with one's audience, and encourage critical opinions.

Also, ponies.

Yes.
