Anyone experienced with Cubase / Nuendo?

Postby Luxston » 11 Mar 2012 15:34

Okay, first, let me tell you a little about myself.

- I've been producing for a little more than a year now.
- I'm mainly a Drum & Bass producer, but I produce other genres under other aliases.
Kind of like LapFox, in a way.
- I've been using FL Studio ever since day one, but thanks to the programs stubborness, I haven't been able to use any of the VSTs that I had imported into it.
- I stopped using FL Studio after my 'Level 99' EP, thanks to a mastering problem with the main track.
- I'm hoping to get some help from producers who are experienced with my ideal program, Cubase / Nuendo. I have no experience with the programs and I would very much like to get back into production so that I may start on my 'Bow to the King' album.

If anyone could help me out, I would be thankful.
I would also like to ask for suggestions.
I'm looking for new VSTs for future productions, I only have the VSTs that I got from the Komplete Package ( NI Massive, Absynth, Battery, ect. ) and I would love to add more to my collection.
Let me know if you have any to introduce to me!
DAW: FL Studio & Cubase 5 / Nuendo 4.3
VSTs: Massive, Absynth, Battery, FM8, Pro-53 ( Still looking.. )
Genres: Mainly DnB.

Brohoof! ^^
Anyhow, I've been messing around with an ancient Nuendo for a good while. (Migrated to REAPER, so much win!) The UI is still the same in Cubase 5 and I know quite well how to do things with it.

^ Add me on skype (scroll down a bit), I'll try to be online and answer whatever questions you have.

As for VSTs you should check out this thread ----> viewtopic.php?f=13&t=490

And Cockos gives away some decent VST effects too: http://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/index.php
ReaEQ is sooooo much better than Cubase's native. :P

It seems you are already at a relatively experienced level in regards to production.

I've been using Cubase 5 for about a year now, so I've gotten a pretty good grasp of it.

Preferred Genre: Industrial/Trance
Hardware: Schecter Diamond Series Bass, Yamaha Acoustic Guitar, BP355 Effects Pedal, Keystudio 49K Keyboard, Akai APC40, Korg nanoKEY2 25k Keyboard
