Hi, my name's David. 22 years old. From Germany.

I started to play electric guitar 6 years ago or so but i never really managed to write my own music until recently when the brony community inspired me with how good some of the fan music is (the show is awesome too ;) ). Some of it even introduced me to new genres of music. Never thought i'd love electro in certain cases.

Hello everyone!
My name is Doofcake. Born and living in Estonia (Estonian Independence Day today by the way! Yay Estonia!)
I'm currently a 16 year old student, working as a 3D animator for four Source engine mods: Guard Duty (Blue Shift: Source), Operation Black Mesa (Opposing Force: Source), Deathmatch Classic: Source and Operation Lambda.
I began learning to make digital music 2 weeks ago after having listened to the brilliant music this fandom makes for a long time. I've previously had 7 years of piano lessons at a well known music academy here, still suck at it though, hehe. I'm also in a choir which has been awarded the Choir of the Year in Estonia a few times, including last year. Singing first tenor, although I was said to be able to sing in any voice group, but there are very few tenors, which is why I was assigned there.

About me and ponies:
I already had the entire MLP music archive back somewhere in the middle of 2011, but didn't get around to watching an episode until January 2012, once I had watched the first two episodes I proceeded to watch 5-6 episodes a day until I got to the latest. Love the show!
My favourite pony is Pinkie Pie, because she's crazy, hyperactive and completely random, just like me. Second favourite is Fluttershy, since I'm often like her instead, like when I'm around strangers or meeting new people. I, instead of talking to others, just meep. Third favourite is Rainbow Dash, because... Wait no, I don't have to explain why I like her, you know well enough why everyone likes her. The rest come afterwards. To be honest, I like everypony a lot.

Other stuff:
DAW: FL Studio
Favourite VST: Nexus, even though I used it for the first time today, I instantly fell in love with it.
Favourite brony artists: The Living Tombstone and WoodenToaster. They are amazing.

That's all I can think of right now.

Hello everypony.
I'm a 18 year old nothinger from Norway who recently became interested in music.
I've previously listened to it (which probably comes as a great surprise) ,and I've also played the piano on and off for some while ,but after an incident at the age of 14 whereas my piano-teacher shouted at me for not being able to remember to play the C# chord instead of the C chord (I was a special child, bless my sweet ignorance), my interest and motivation for music became somewhat low.
I regained this interest somewhere about a year ago when I discovered what funny noises you could make with a usb2midi adaptor from china (which actually melted at some point), Fl studio and a keyboard from the eighties. I mostly just made horrid noises to ruin my roommates sleep, which was not very melodic.
However about a month ago or so I met a person who was also interested in music and the rest is hist- present.

Oh, and at some point I saw a lot of ponies on the internet and decided to watch that show. I liked it.

Other stuff:
DAW: Reason 5, with FL studio on the side for stuff such as voicefuckery and VSTs

Hello everyone!
I'm a 13 year old amateur producer from California. My music will make you hate me.
I've been making digital music for a while now, though I've only released one official track, because, quite simply, uploading any of my other stuff would simply embarrass me. x]

Fluttershy is my best pony.

Stuffs:
DAW: FL Studio 10 (total lagfest for my computer ._.)
Favorite VST: NI Massive. Hell yes.
Hardware: I don't know. D:
... doesn't matter for me though. :3

Hello! My name is Matt, and I currently have no music to share except for my cover of "Becoming Popular". I'm working on a few song ideas though, and I intend to do some kind of electronic, possibly dubstep, music in the near future. Im 19 and I'm currently looking for a music school that I can go to. I have FL studios 10 and I can barely use it. Im working as much as possible to start making music. Im looking for any help I can get.

I'm also learning how to mix tracks so help with that would be great too. My goal is to eventually be able to add to the community and help out as best I can.

Hello, everypony!
I go by many names.... Seriously, though, you'll find me elsewhere referred to either as "holyztn" (please don't ask where it comes from) or my real name, Thomas.

I'm not very experienced with making music, but I do enjoy listening to a lot of it, so my imagination does run wild occasionally. Recently I've been hoping to learn the process of creating music to let out some of that imagination. I've been working with a couple mashups that are awful, just awful, but I don't take myself too seriously so it shouldn't be a problem. Mostly I'm trying to work with FamiTracker to make some half-decent chiptune, and maybe eventually get into some breakbeat/core stuff. Oh yeah, as I mentioned before, I don't take myself too seriously, especially in creative processes like these. Not that I won't try to make good music, but my vision is more of something that's on the wackier, less-musical-than-conventional-perceptions-of-music side.

However I do in these pursuits, I sure look forward to working with you all and hearing the great work you guys put out.

Hello, my name is Vladnuke and I make songs that are light and airy and sugar sweet (most of the time), but so far have not done a pony track (working on one right now). I use a sequencer and plugins. I also play piano and guitar, and I sing. And that's about it.

Postby North Kozar » 06 Mar 2012 20:32

Well, hello. I'm North Kozar (or Kozarious) but people just call me Kozar. I highly doubt anyone here knows me, so I'll get to meet new people, yay! Anyway, I found my way to this site awhile ago when all the epic Balloon Party teasers came out and have been meaning to join up but just hadn't. I dunno why it felt slightly intimidating joining in at what seemed like "late in the game" -- but I'm over that now and just wanna get more into this awesome community!

I'm from the northern land of Alaska, born and raised here. An 18 year old High School Senior, trying to figure out sdjhfgjadhfgsjdhf what to do for college and all the fun that comes with that. I currently have no idea. Interestingly enough, when I finally finished all my college applications is when I completed my first (and currently only) whole MLP related song. I think the stress of this transition from High School to College is messing with my creativity a bit.
Also avid video gamer, mostly console in the past (ME3 came out today! super excited to start in on it soon, collectors edition is best edition). Only reason I own an Xbox though is because of Halo 3. My game collection grew around that. This summer one of my friends got me into League of Legends and I've really been enjoying that alot (any LoL players here?)
I also really love doing photography/photoshop/layout, and worked on my high schools' yearbook, designing the cover (granted I didn't take the picture that's on the cover, but still, pretty cool to leave that behind as a senior). I also love doing video editing and montage type stuff. Always wanted to do a Halo 3 Machinima and got pretty far in ideas, but never made one. Also stuck using iMovie. Le blech, but it works. Anyway, onto the music stuffs!

I used to play the violin for a couple years, starting it in private lessons, continuing into our junior youth symphony, but due to complications involving my private teacher, that fell apart and I haven't played it since 7th grade. Other than that I don't really know much involving music. All I can go off of is what sounds right to my ear. As well, ever since I got my first computer back around (I think) the beginning of 6th grade, the first thing I did was open up GarageBand and start throwing loops around making dinky little things. I did that fairly consistently, expanding here and there as I learned, but not really ever doing my own unique stuff (just loops) until roughly three years ago when I made a piece that I played all on my keyboard (no programmed notes). And for some reason after that, I stopped doing anything musically related. Just about two years went by until I slowly began getting back into it, discovering dubstep (which I had been thinking of melodically, but never had heard anything/knew what it was until that point) and finding artists new to me like Pendulum and Feed Me. It's been a slow process from that point, but it's picking up pace. Inspirations come from everywhere, and I'm never without an idea it seems, I just lack the motivation to do it (which like I said, could be related to my mental congestion lately). My hopes are that getting feedback (as I live off of feedback) will help me to keep up doing music, which I do love to do. Recently I've switched over to trying out Ableton from GarageBand.... Oh man, that's such a nice change.
/lifestory

I also just want to become more a part of the Brony community. Oh, right, the show. I got started on the show indirectly via a friend posting a link to "nyan cat" on Facebook. And I'm like, wow this is old, but I saw Alex S.'s Nyan Cat dubstep in the recommended videos. From there I randomly found his Glitchstep MLP Theme remix, which floored me. I had no idea what the show was at the time, looked it up, was slightly confused, read more, and left it for a couple weeks. Came back, watched the first two episodes. Left it another week. Then watched the third. Later that day I finished the tenth. But most of the awesome, in my opinion, is the Brony community at large.

Also, I guess I can ramble. Loquacious. Well, maybe you can see this 'wall' from spaaaaaace. One last hello from me to everyone!

I DIDN'T FEEL MY INTRO WAS ADEQUATE AFTER READING KOZAR'S AMAZING POST, SO.

I first got into music when I was -3 years old (I actually can't remember) when my friend (Neonstorm) showed me the nifty application "FL Studio" (back then I think it was still Fruity Loops.)
But I've been slowly progressing. I'm not great, but I'm not horrible, and I've already learned quite a number of things from venturing on these forums.

I'm not going to give much personal info away, but I'm 15 (as my signature makes sure you don't miss out on) and I've been taking classical piano lessons for 8 or so years now. Favourite composer is Chopin, right now I'm working on one of his preludes, and also Reverie by Debussy (another one of my favourites.)

When I go to college, I'm really hoping to get something in 3d media, like VFX or game design, perhaps with a minor in Animation or Composition.
Best pony is always Twilight. Can't get more adorkable.

Became a Brony... sometime in the beginning of this year, I think? I watched the very first episode, then watched the next like a month later. Then I watched all of the rest in like 3 days, staying up until 7 AM.

Also a bit unrelated, I'm working on the UDK game called "Immolation" which features ponies as characters! Nothing in the show, though.

Gamewise, I'm Piedoom0 on steam, feel free to add me. I don't actually play much anymore, but among my favourite games are Bioshock and Portal.

Other hobbies of mine include Modeling, texturing, drawing (horribly, I assure you), feeling self pity, crying in corners, and acting.
