Yeah. Basically things got a little bit out of hand. We're working hard to finalise everything for BP4, so don't worry, that will reappear once we're ready, but we want to get absolutely everything put together so there's no more speculation ^^

I ask that you don't discuss BP4 in here beyond this post. Mods will remove it anyway. Mindscapes was initially released for $2 as well. It isn't something new for them. Though personally, knowing how BandCamp works, they should definitely have enough free downloads stored up and it costs a pittance to purchase more in an emergency. Unless they aren't confident enough in their product to let people choose whether to pay or not though, I would agree that there's nothing wrong with releasing it for pay what you want.

I'm more than happy to spend the pocket change on it myself, but having been in such a situation in the past, a lot of people can't really purchase things on the internet so it's kind of a shame when you limit them. In the end though, it's their album and their prerogative so I suppose they can do what they want, and it seems like it'll be available for free eventually like Mindscapes now is: http://www.balloon-party.com/editions.php

Yeah plus a lot of people who want to download the album don't have the ability to make internet purchases, as many of them might not have a bank account or a credit card like the rest of us do. Heck, a lot of us probably didn't get cards until we were like like 16 haha. And we can't just hope that those without cards will just ask other people to buy it for them.

It's not really their album considering they didn't make the songs that are on it anyway, nor did they make the property that the album is about. MLR users and bronies made the songs on the album - not ExoBassTix haha. Plus the songs are meant to be for everyone, so it's dumb to put a price on it at all haha. The audience should decide on the price for themselves, and we should be happy to give it away for any price, even if it's $0.

Also everybody deserves to get all mlp fan music and mlp fan albums for free and you all know it haha. Why should you force people to pay for it if they want to own it instead of giving them the option? That alone will make people not want to buy it.

It's made paid for like a month or two and then it goes for free on the website. People are always welcome to ask us for a dl code if they are in a situation where they cannot buy it.

It would be a good idea to add "You are always welcome to ask us for a download code if you're in a situation where you cannot buy it" or something of the sort to the description of the bandcamp page just so people know that option is actually there.

I think hostile was the wrong choice of words - I just feel you're being quite negative is all. Anyway, I do see your point of view on the monetary side and I'll make it more obvious regarding buying/free dls.
