THE STORY SO FAR
Applejack's opened a megachurch in Ponyville in response to a number of issues in recent years, including:
- Insane ponies with chainsaws
- Ponies being impaled on wrought iron fences
- The sexualisation of pony butts as a culture
- Whatever Maud Pie was doing earlier this month
However, some ponies who have been enjoying this culture of decadent obscenity are rebelling! Under the mocking label of "NO MORALITY," these ponies something something and this is where our narrative starts getting a bit hazy.
Let's skip to the good part.
THE ALBUM PROJECT
As with other Pinkamena Party main albums in the past, we're looking for any and all hard and intense pony music, with a focus on hardcore, gabber, frenchcore, speedcore, breakcore, industrial, noise, etc. If it has distorted kick drums, you're probably making something we want to hear!
This year, we're parodying Balloon Party's new album project, Equine Morality, and the theme pony this year is Applejack! Balloon Party is asking for STRONG tracks--not "hard," but "STRONG." We're asking for, well, both.
Let's go over some rules like they did.
NSFW submissions are ENCOURAGED.
All submissions must be under 15 minutes long unless you're making one of those crazy endless mashcore things.
All submissions must be some degree of obnoxious/incredibly loud.
All submissions must be LOSSLESS (WAV preferred, AIFF or FLAC too) and sent to [email protected].
All submissions must NOT be posted in public when done; work-in-progresses and teasers are accepted and encouraged (this one's the same!)
This album specifically has a THEME, which is Applejack being a zealot morality freak and us messing with her. Be creative with that! Sample religious things tastelessly! Obscenity AND profanity are encouraged! This is an NSFW album project series, and we're PROUD OF IT! Just remember to be tasteful in your tastelessness. Overtly racist, sexist, transphobic, etc etc entries may be rejected if they're deemed to be not in good fun. But go ahead and make tracks about Princess Celestia with five dicks plowing AJ in the bum. We're all for that.
In terms of stylistic concepts, we're channeling specifically concepts like UK grime and jungle. If you're not familiar with grime, check out this and maybe this. If you're not familiar with jungle, type "jungle mix" into youtube and you'll get more jungle than you know what to do with.
Specifically grime, though, has a sort of STRONG yet rather irreverent quality that we're going for here. Incorporate it into your hardcore or speedcore or punk or whatever! It'll be fun! But of course, just like with the booty bass from last year, it's not required, just suggested.
