I really hope I can make something for this! Balloon Party albums are always my favorite, and it would be amazing if I could be in one. Time to bust out the ol' guitar for some rock/progressive trance/rap track. This will either go amazingly or terribly, let's find out

I've always been more attracted to the Seeds of Kindness albums, but I think I'll give this one a shot. I have no idea what I'm going to make though, but I should be able to come up with something in three months.

Jyc Row, welcome! The submission form states that multiple submissions are accepted, though of course the old adage "quality over quantity" certainly applies. The original track + collab thing is fairly common to Balloon Party and dare I say, it's even encouraged bc collabs = gud

This time around we're looking to get some strong, powerful music that stands up loudand proud. Not necessarily "hard"; that's already been done, but music with impact and vigor. That's less ambiguous of a theme than Mindscapes', but still leaves a little room for interpretation for you to play with. As usual, there are no genre restrictions!

How come the efforts to give Balloon Party "new life" aren't being used on this album? Also worth noting that this was Balloon Part 4, and then those in charge made this album into Balloon Party 3.5 and changed it to a "mini-album" and a "pre-party" to build hype for the "real" album, and yet they claim that this album wasn't downgraded at all; downgrading this album is exactly what they did.

I think this deserves to be Balloon Party 4.

Because the way EM:TCS works it can only depend on the success of previous Balloon Party to get any interest from people at all. It would be worse to stop The Clean Sweep and put the new yet-unannounced BP4 in place, so we decided to keep The Clean Sweep as a pre-party. Expectations are that it'll be a bit less grand because the deadline allows for less time to be spent on submissions.

Okay that makes sense, but I think the interest can always be generated through incredible song teasers and just spreading the word around like with BP 1. It can carry its own if it's good enough haha. There was no previous Balloon Party before the first one and look how well that did. If anything, most people outside of MLR have already forgotten about the last album if they even hear about it at all. I probably wouldn't have heard about Academy of Power at all had I not been briefly part of the management of that album.

And that reminds me, what's with the two subtitles for these albums now? I always thought it was Balloon Party: [subtitle], in order to capitalize on the Balloon Party name, but ever since it's been [subtitle]: [second subtitle] like with Balloon Party: Academy of Power: Mindscapes. Lol.

It just so happens that Balloon Party has always been a name of the collection, so it became the 'brand' name so to say.

But how were you involved in management for Mindscapes if I may ask?
