Hi everypony. I'm rand0m, randompony, or whatever you want to call me.

I found MLP between season 1 and 2, and i've been making pony music ever since. I've been making music (or toying to be exact, with fl studio) for about 6 years. Thank god my big bro introduced me to FL Studio when i was a kid :D. I have only recently started learning about the basic stuff of serious music production (EQing etc, all that shit). This forum has been a great help for that and i wanted to maybe start doing something else than lurking.

Let's see.. what else.. I'm 17 years old. I like almost all genres of music, although i usually listen to electronic music (dnb, electro, dubstep, house, for example). My youtube-account is "Random333221". Also, Fluttershy is best pony.

Hi guys,
My name is Jan, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Germany.
I started making music 4 or 5 years ago.
My favourite genres are Hardstyle and Drum'n'Bass.
Fl Studio is my DAW of choice, because it seems to suit my workflow the best (I tried Cubase and Ableton).
My golden rule for making music is to build all my synths myself.

You might ask yourself why a dude would call himself "princess addictia"...well, let's just say I have a weird sense of humor and my artist name for non-pony stuff was Addicting Noise.

My favourite pony was luna for a long time but thanks to "Allegrezza" and "The Vinyl Scratch Tapes" Octavia and Vinyl took that spot.

Should have posted here first, maybe?

Hello, I represent a collaborative pony media group referred to as the CMC. Our primary focus is music and we accept pretty much anyone willing to join. Since I am only one user who represents many I can't say much about myself specifically as it would be inaccurate to the group as a whole.

However, I would like to say that I'm already enjoying this after only being here less than a day.

Hello, I'm Dave but I go by That One Dood when I publish anything. First off I'd like to say that Everyone here(From what I've read so far) is really supportive and incredibly talented and I would be honored to join the ranks of the Music Bronies. I use FL studios and just started using the Komplete 8 suite(A LOT of new stuff to explore and learn to use.) and I started out learning on an acoustic guitar so I learned more Folk/Alternative rock music but I would like to branch out to electronic music(House, Trance, Dubstep, Etc...). My Skype name is Thatonedood5 so Go ahead and add me if you like :) I'll be adding some folks from here.
DAW: FL studio 10
Plugins: Komplete 8 and various freeware plugins

Oh well hey I had no clue this thread existed.

I'm Matt, I'm a 20 year old computer science engineering student from Illinois. I make music as a hobby as you may have heard in my threads. Links to my stuff:
Nightmare Night
Chaos Part I (A song about the rise of Discord)
Chaos Part II (A song about the defeat of Discord)

Search around my soundcloud for other junk that I do, keep in mind, not all stuff is serious. Other links are for my youtube and Band Camp (free stuff!!!)

Also I have a side project for making house music and horribly offending people. It's called ElectroSexBears: Youtube, Soundcloud, Band Camp.

I also have gotten together with my friend ryoshenron (If you've ever seen Defender of the Supermart or Boy and Robot you know who I'm talking about) and I've made some game soundtracks for his various flash games. I think you guys might like one of them in particular:
Fantasy XF (My older works mixed with other people's stuff, so dont expect amazing)
Fantasy XF II (A majority of it is my work, some I love and some not
Ghosts of Afya: Part I (One of my favorites!!
SUPER GUNHORSE DERPY HOOVES ANNIHILATION <-Soundtrack made before I became a "brony"

I have a bunch of other projects including my own personal game projects (alot of those dont get finished :( )

If you like anything shoot me a PM and let me know! If you don't still PM me! I love input!

I am an audiophile with many different tastes in many different styles of music. I usually stick to electronic(Aphex Twin to Daft Punk to Renard to Evol Intent etc.) , but there are other things that I listen to and appreciate greatly. When producing I use a combination of these:

-FL Studio 10
-Sytrus
-3xOSC
-WASP
-Whatever 303 knock-off there is in FLS
-Massive (lol a demo version)
-tb_Monomate
-tb_Peach
-various jungle loops
-other stuff I'm forgetting
-Genre's/Styles: Drums 'n Bass, Dubstep(when I'm in a good mood), House, Acid, Breakcore, Chiptunes, and other stuff I'm forgetting.

Favorite Pony: Fluttershy yay

yeah I think that's it....
Soundcloud

Youtube

DAW: FL Studio 10

Genres: drums and bass, dubstep/chillstep, retro, breakcore, glitch, chiptunes, piano, chillout/downtempo, house, trance, acid, ambient, rap, post-rock, soundtrack, french house

Hello everyone!

My name is Thomas Spangler and I'm 22 years old here in the US.
I am currently in the US Air Force and consider myself somewhat of an artistic person.
My areas in the past have typically involved drawing, writing, playing instruments, and making videos.

Music making? I always considered that something out of my league...that is until I met a friend of Jackle App's last night (I never caught his name as we never formally introduced ourselves...sorry bud). It was at a brony meet up here in Colorado Springs. He was very encouraging and talked me into registering here. I still have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm willing to learn and do my best. He recommended I try FL as I am a beginner and not really able to pirate software (military would have my ass for that). Anyway, I see a lot of names I respect here and just want to say thank you all for your work.

Lol... just realized I never posted in here...

Heyo, JackShine here,
Mighta seen me around some of the TB's and the IRC this past month or so....
I've been playing piano for about 14 years now, and just recently (about a month ago) decided to delve into the world of digital music after being inspired by all those remix wars.

Anyhoo... I'm 20, male, and going into Air Force Basic training in about... 26 hours or so... So you all won't see me around for the next 8+ weeks or so T_T. (I miss you all already)

My "style" or lack-thereof in some cases tends to follow chopin-esque melodies capitalizing on strong vivid emotions, often melancholic, without resorting to complex sheet music. (Meaning... If the damn thing hurts to try and imagine playing in real life, I generally don't put it in my DAW.)
I'm also a progression-nut... so most of my songs tend to "fly by" or move quickly.

As far as "genre" goes, I generally just do whatever tickles my fancy week by week. I don't have much electronic experience, so I try to do as much as I possibly can.

Anyways, love for all of ya, just thought I'd post here for lulz if nothing else...
After I get outta training, if you ever need a piano waltz or nocturne, just hit me up sometime.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
So quick to learn, So quick to burn.
Never producing anything less than fine,
Your mixing of skills is what makes you Shine.
~From a Friend.

Howdy, I've gone by the name of ShoPows online since the days of Asherons Call (what the hells that?).

I've played musical instruments since I was a kid, only recently deciding to delve into the world of electronic music. When not (attempting/failing at) making music I cook food for rich people. Being a private chef is actually pretty soul destroying, apparently the TV shows about cooking I watched as a kid all lied to me.

Not much else to say about myself apart from my Scottish roots. The Highlands are cold.

Scootaloo is best pony.

Hello hello hello there friends~

I'm Josh aka Lemonite aka JustTwoBits aka Two Bit.
But I mostly just go by the second and last two names (very last is preferred in conversation ;P)

I am currently and have always lived in the wonderful--though quite boring at times--southern state of Georgia, and I am a 16(17 in 19 days) year old high school junior!

I've always had an infatuation with music of all kinds, but have for the most part admired it from afar. This community and the content you produce have finally pushed me to pursue production for myself.

I hope to see you all around in the near future~

Hello everyone,

My name is Connor. Age 23.

I'm a recent college grad, and am now working as a network engineer.

I am a Jack of All Trades type of guy; I want to accomplish and be good at anything and everything that I find interesting. Unfortunately I usually fall short of being "really good". Furthermore I've never found a true passion for anything, and I'm hoping that it ends here.

As strange as it may sound, I have always loved orchestral music, but had forgotten due to events in my past. I have to thank Makkon himself for helping me rediscover what I had lost and also, for bringing me here. And guess if we are playing six degrees here, i was introduced to him though ponies.... but, that's probably a given at this point, right?

I'm hoping that my endeavors will help me become part of something big; I wan't to inspire others as Makkon did for me; and most of all, I simply want to create something I can be proud of. I know I may be taking a late start, but i am determined to see this through to the end.

I will be working on creating music soon, and I would appreciate all the help i can get.... I plan on using FL studio, wish me luck...

Oops, I've been on this site for a couple of months and this thread completely slipped past my attention. Ne'er mind. My producer name is 'Nosnibormada'. Turn my producer name backwards to get my real name (neat huh?). I produce electronic music, or at least music through electronic means. I play trombone properly, guitar crappily and various other instruments minimally (as in, I only know the basics). I put all my music on my Soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/nosnibormada and my pony music on my Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Nosnibormada1. I think that pretty much covers it, oh wait! My favourite pony is Pinkie Pie, with Fluttershy in a close second place.
I like music, and I hope that music likes me back.

Postby RaynStrom » 14 Feb 2012 14:49

Hello, my name is Ryan but on the internet I am RaynStrom.
I got into music in 5th grade when we tried out band class on the recorder, then proceeded to rock it out on the clarinet for almost a year until I discovered the bass clarinet. About seventh or eighth grade I was introduced to electronic music by my father. Up until this point I didn't really listen to music much, so I was pretty behind(I still am). When I was halfway through my fourteenth year alive I downloaded the FL Studio Demo. At first I hated it, but once I got the hang of it(sort of) I was hooked on this music making thing. I released everything I made at first, and it sucked. Really, really bad. I was given the producers version of FL Studio on my 15'th birthday and have been using it since(I've dabbled in Reason and Reaper but I haven't done much).
Up until about 4 months ago, everything I made still sucked hardcore. Now I suck a lot less and have removed almost all of my original filth from the internet and have been working towards building up my musical project with non-terrible music.
I found ponies a year ago and thought it was stupid, didn't watch past the theme song.
Found it again 4 months later, watched all of the episodes in one weekend. It was glorious.
I've been stalking people in the brony music community for about 2 months and am only now confident enough to try my hand at pony music and am working on two tracks currently with more to follow and show my face and hopefully acquire bros among my heroes.
TL;DR,

I make music 'n' stuff.
I'm 16 going on 17 years old.
Ponies are pretty awesome.
I use FL Studio and almost everything in Komplete 7.
I listen to basically all electronic music, but I tend to drift back to trance, progressive house, and electro for the most part(basically how I produce too).
My genre range outside of electronic music is basically all alternative ranging from Jonsi, to Panic! at the Disco, to Flobots. I do enjoy indies as well.
I'm introverted.
I like to binge on sweet, happy, dreamy music.
I play the Bass Clarinet, the Contrabass Clarinet, and the bottom bass drum in band.
I started making electronic music when I was 14 on a demo version of FL Studio.
I really sucked and eventually bought the program.
During this suck time I released everything for critique. No help was given, and nobody liked my music.
Half a year ago I started sucking significantly less and removed the sucky stuff.
Now I've been slowly posting only my best work and should be posting more soon hopefully, because I take forever to finish most projects(although I am getting faster).
Due to not sucking as much I'm going to finally try and join the brony music community and throw out some tracks involving ponies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~squiggle~~~~~~~~~~
Also, Twilight Sparkle is best pony. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are tied for second with Rainbow Dash is a close third with Applejack and Rarity tied for fourth. There is no worst pony, because they're all awesome.
Why hello there everyone. As you may have guessed, I am Orpheus, or forkinyoureye in other places. I play a lot of TF2, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. I've put in nearly four hundred hours since the Uber Update, and I'm fairly good at Sniper and Soldier. Again, as you may have guessed, I make music. I use FL Studio, but I'm still sort of learning the ropes. Some of my favorite artists are deadmau5, Renard in all his personae, Daft Punk, the entire Homestuck music team, Icon For Hire, General Mumble, and Omnipony. I used to really love eighties rock and metal, but I've sort of gravitated towards electronic music in the last year or so. I certainly hope my career (that may not be the right word) in music is a fun one.
I'm kindof new to this whole electronic music thing, but I already have a background in programming and using Anvil for MIDI structure. Right now I'm just getting used to using all of it, and I feel I'm picking up fairly quickly. I know quite a bit of classical guitar, and I will probably use my ability in it to make some music for the fandom. IDK, you want to know something, just ask me. I may take a while to respond, because my life gets REALLY busy ALL THE TIME. :) Cheers, peace, and good luck to you all!
