The bright souls in Twilight's classroom immediately filed out of the classroom to start research. Some teamed up to combine ideas, some took it alone. But they all had the same purpose: to learn how to understand, develop and give shape to their mindscapes, to do so, and put the result on display for the rest to see at their eventual presentations."

Welcome back for the third year of Balloon Party, folks! We've been planning and preparing these few last months and definitely changed up our approach with this album! Before we say anything, we want to give a huge thanks to Circuitfry for letting us have a chance to bring this back and build upon it; hosting is a true honor.

That being said, Academy of Power is proud to present: Mindscapes!

Being a Twilight-themed album, our setting is in "The Academy of Power".

Mindscapes is our way of encouraging you to think differently than you have when you've made music. It's all about being new, fresh, and creative. This isn't exactly a request to switch your genres up though, it's a lot more than that. Pioneering new methods and ideas in your music is your goal.

This album may require you to venture into your mind and process deep thought regarding what you can teach people, whether that lies in evolution, ethics, mathematics, philosophy, [and] the arts-.

Now, for our first order of business: We have a brand new website! It'll allow us to keep track of all submissions and keeps everything nice and neat for you guys when you need info about the album. This includes what the album is about, how many days till we launch, where to submit, how to apply for aid (more info on this will come), etc.

To submit, go to the website and click the top tab that says "submit".

Submission Rules:
NSFW submissions are discouraged.
All submissions must be under 15 minutes long.
All submissions must not be obnoxious/incredibly loud.
All submissions must be LOSSLESS (WAV, AIFF or FLAC) and uploaded to an external website.
All submissions must NOT be posted in public when done; work-in-progresses and teasers are accepted and encouraged.

Oh, and speaking of aid, as a departure from (or extension of) the tradition of BronyQuest, we're looking for something more global, to support our friends across the pond and across the United States. Balloon Party is now looking to support two additional conventions for the 2015 convention season! Which will make our list of conventions increase to three for 2015, which includes BronyCon, Everfree Northwest and, if all goes well for them, BUCK 2015.

We're still going strong. The Skype chat is full of life and, in general, very fun to be in. Some amazing submissions have been submitted already as well!

Does it have to be powerful sounding or what?
As far as doing something different from usual, just about all my things are inconsistent in different styles, so just make whatever? Does it have to be EDM? Can I submit something really hardcore instead?

Balloon Party has never wanted EDM-only, so the same counts for this time. We'd never exclude a whole array of genres just because it's different.
The theme has already raised quite some questions, as not exactly much is provided. The theme is creativity. The interpretation of the theme is all up for you to decide. If anything, the "power" stands for the message.

However two question: How will the artist know if the track made it in the album?
and after the day of submission's are over can we release the tracks public or do we have to wait until the album is out?

Wait until the album is out to release a so G that made it on the album.
And of it doesn't make it to the album, wait until you know for sure it didn't make it.
Basically just wait until a confirmation about what is happening to the song.

By popular demand, we're moving the deadline back a month! The new deadline is now NOVEMBER 15, at 3PM GMT.
This gives you guys who're submitting plenty of time to get your tracks finished and handed in to the highest standard you can.
We would like to point out however, that this isn't an excuse to be lazy; just because you have extra time doesn't mean you can stop now and rush on the last day!

Why bother? This isn't Toast Beard you're making a song for, its Balloon Party. It's supposed to be the finest quality music of the fandom, not something thrown together in 2 days.
